I can’t narrow it down to 50 much less 7……..
i can think of a few teas i want to drink for the rest of my life..but if they were the ONLY teas i got to drink for the rest of my life i would not be happy.
broad categories are best for me. each season. each farm tastes different even with the same name.
Unless you are talking about mass packaged blended tea ….nothing will ever taste the same way twice.
Ok ok I got this:
1. Refresh Mint by Tazo
2. Green Rooibos Bonita by Adagio
3. Cha Cha by Adagio
4. Rest by Tazo
5. Green Rooibos Ginger Mint my custom blend
6. Rooibos Caramel by Adagio
7. Apple Cinnamon my own blend
BAM! Content for life. lol
I’ve only had one of these in SEVERAL Months
Well, this is depressing. I don’t have any of the teas that Madametj listed. But they sure sound good. Darn, I guess I’ll have to get more tea. :D
Lol. I’m sure you have your favorites!
Alright, I’ll try.
1. Butiki teas: caramel vanilla assam
2. Butiki teas: rose violet calendula oolong
3. Lupicia: melon oolong
4. Harney & sons: Queen Catherine
5. Redleaf tea: banana and cream matcha (in cold milk!)
6. 52 teas: banana pudding black tea
7. a chai (sorry, copped out here!)
Of course, in about a week or two, the list will change. But probably not by nearly as much as I think. I’ve liked these teas fairly steadily.
This makes me want to try Lupicia’s Melon Oolong even more. And gah, yes Banana & Cream!
I can send you some, Courtney! I have some on the way, I think.
I am surprised the Queen is not number one :P. Also, Banana Pudding was definitely a runner up for my list. Some hard choices had to be made.
That’s alright keychange. I should consider doing an order myself, but did I read somewhere you can’t order to Canada?
1. Taiwanese Wild Mountain Black
2. Premium Taiwanese Assam
3. A premium Gyokuro
4. A Ceremonial Grade Matcha
5. Good Morning Sunshine (creamy lemon guayusa)
6. Either a Kenyan or Indian White tea (tough call, I’m thinking either Doke Silver Needle, Glenburn Silver Needle or White Rhino
7. The Black Lotus
*If, I could sneak in one more it would have to be Crimson Horizon. A good Kenyan CTC can really get you through exhaustion.
can’t whittle to 7 no matter how hard i try, and even with these 10 it’s painful. no room for earls, my beloved milk and fruit oolongs, pretty much any one flavor (i felt like i couldn’t pick one over any of the others i love), or a million other things. guh.
my roots are showing; i’ve had so many unbelievably sophisticated, out of this world teas since joining steepster, and i will cherish the memories those teas evoke forever, but if i’m honest with myself given a strictly limited choice i’ll always, in terms of “for the rest of YOUR LIFE” type scenarios, opt mainly for the brisk black teas/black blends that remind me of why i fell into tea in the first place.
butiki the black lotus
golden moon irish breakfast
mandala morning sun
thepuritea hong jing luo
capital tea ltd. borsapori assam
(any decent fairly fresh muscatel darjeeling or nepali, usually from teabox, harney and sons, upton imports, or butiki…specs change every year)
mandala loose and luscious lincang
shang silver needle king
verdant autumn harvest laoshan green (it was painful choosing between this and the bilochun green)
butiki birthday cake (herbal version)
Look at you Marzipan, asking all the tough questions :P.
Alright, so I am sure I am forgetting some teas but my seven would be:
1. Nina’s Paris – Nina’s Japon (as if you all didn’t see that one coming)
2. Red Leaf Tea – Caramel Popcorn Matcha
3. Camellia Sinensis – Des Roses et Des Bonbons
4. Harney & Son – Soba Cha
5. DAVIDs – Birthday Cake (though I would probably trade this if Butiki’s Birthday Cake were available)
6. Herbal Infusions – Marshmallow Snowflake EG
7. Della Terra – One of the Chiffon teas (Okay so this one is a bit of a cop out but if you twisted my arm, it would probably be Lime Chiffon)
I get such great ideas from these threads!
Oh!
cheater, cheater pumpkin eater
My but you picked some good ones…lol
Haha. Thank you CelebriTEA. I tried :)
NOOOOOOOOOOO! I’m huge on variety, but if I had to:
1. Milk Oolong, Mandala Tea
2. Blushing Geisha, Steep City Teas
3. Wild Monk pu’er, Mandala Tea
4. Noble Mark pu’er, Mandala Tea
5. Chocolate Strawberry pu’er, Lupicia (currently pu’er partying to this tea)
6. Good Morning Sunshine, Butiki Teas (eerrr, hard choice, this coulda been 3 other butiki teas)
7. A really dark roast Big Red Robe oolong.
That is entirely too difficult a question. However, ATM the list would be (in no particular order):
Butiki Lavender Chamomile
Butiki Pistachio Ice Cream
Butiki White Rhino
California Tea House Tiramisu
Della Terra Oranges & Cream
Della Terra Almond Biscotti
a sencha from Den’s Tea
a pistachio tea?!?! sounds heavenly
