brewing in a thermos?
For christmas my parents got me large stanley thermos, to some this will sound unorthadox to others downright blasphemous but I threw in a mix of lapsang suchong, cylon and just a touch of assam poured boiling water over it and let it steep for 12 hours when I opened it the next day it was a lovely, russian caravan that.requierd some watering down just food for thought everyone.
I brew tea in my mom’s coffee thermos pretty often actually – put my Davids infuser on top, steep it as usual, tea comes out awesome as always.
That kinda makes sense to me, sort of like the Samovar-style tea brewing where you let tea steep a long time so it’s very strong in a vessel with water kept hot for ages, then when you want to drink it you dilute it and sweeten since it’s so strong.
