Thanks for the samples…just ordered a glass gaiwan
The samples and glass gaiwan are on the way, let us know how you like it.
YeziTea,
Learning the Glass Gaiwan is certainly a bumbling experience for me…lol…
I have watched a couple of videos, but it may take a minute before I can
accomplish the ceremony in a smooth manner :-)
Re: Yunnan Golden Peacock Pu-erh Tea:
I apologize for a rating of “77”… I cannot, for the life of me, get that little bar to work right.
For me, a rating of 85 is more like it.
Thank you Yezi Tea for this sample!
A strong bodied, slightly earthy tea which is
reminiscent scent wise of old leather and tobacco. (To me)
this is my first Pu’erh tea, and something of an unusual flavor
reminding, me of sour dough bread, but it is not at all toasty
and neither is it astringent…very smooth.
This is not my favorite tea, and yet I am thankful for the introduction
to the world of Pu-erh via this tea.
This could become a staple for me.
I received this today and have steeped it multiple times.
This tea is very consistent steep after steep, and I like that.
Color of an amber-burgundy garnet.
This tastes good hot and even better at room temperature.
Thank you Yezi Tea! … AMAZED @ your lightening FAST service!!!
It takes a bit of practice to use gaiwan, but once you master it, it is very rewarding. Be careful not to burn your fingers. My husband sometimes grabs the tray and the lid, but I can’t, my hands are too small :)
And no worries about score, its important that you like the tea. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!
I know what you mean about the rating bar! I wish it showed the number under it like the steep temp and time. It can be edited, though. I’ve been known to edit a review several times to get the precise number I wanted! :)
Sunshine – I know what you mean! I do the multiple edit thing too, just for the rating. I wish it showed a number too!
Thank you Yezi Tea for the wonderful samples. Sounds like no matter what was chosen, the recipients liked it very much. I was awed by Dragon Well Long Jing. It is not what I would order a lot of without tasting it first, but it has swiftly claimed a place on the list of teas that I have to be sure not to run out of!
Thank you! Let us know how you like other teas also :)
Is this offer still valid?
The links in the first page of this thread still work, it just may still be on offer but I think the company no longer has much of a presence on Steepster.
