We have enough participants to get the box going now so this weekend I will go through my stash and fill the box and get it sent out on Tuesday next week.
That’s awesome! I have a jasmine tea deficit at the moment, so that’s on my swap wishlist. If there are any specific teas anyone would like to try from my stash, let me know, and I’ll make sure to include them.

Haha, cteresa, I know – it’s just as fun to plan and plot what to put in as it is tasting the new teas. My favourite thing is to read reviews by other people of things I put in, especially if they love something I hate, or hate something I love – it’s so interesting to see how differently taste works and why.
And yes, jasmine. Sadface.

All are from Yunomi as one of their suggested blends as received by the club. I loved it so much that I bought 700g of teas to blend it myself. It’s not on Steepster but I thought I would share some with you all :)
The box was sent out yesterday so hopefully some time next week it should arrive at it’s first destination. :)
Just a note to say no news of it yet, sorry. I am checking every day and managed to speak to the postman who promised to keep an eye out for it.
It is taking longer than usual, but our postal service has recently been privatized, and in the past year since the news came out that the privatization was a certainty the service went from predictably very good to impredictable. Maddening.
I’m starting to panic now. It was sent Airmail so it shouldn’t have taken this long. Anyone have any ideas on when I should write this as lost in the post and start a new box?
Don´t give up just yet, I have not been able to check if there was a mail delivery on the last two days of last week. So maybe.
Let´s wait a bit more still, not giving up hope yet. so far knock on wood some things have been pretty late (and I think loose samples of tea, or dried plant leaf are inherently more suspicious to customs, it always seems to be the stuff which takes much longer than say electronics) but so far nothing lost yet. let´s wait please? And I can supply a spare package myself.
Ok we can wait a while longer. I’ve never had a European parcel take so long to arrive, but perhaps you are right, it could be customs checking the parcel. Hopefully it will still arrive.
Don’t panic, Kitty – French customs are probably sitting around furtively sampling the samples, making huge shopping lists, at this very moment. Steepster will get this huge influx of French customs members in about a week – you’ll see!
I hope that’s the case Anna. I’ve not been on Steepster in a while because I have been so very busy. I closed down my business and am currently sorting and boxing all of my belongings to prepare for my house move. I’m currently at the very start of buying a house and have a few months left of sorting out. That is why I am so nervous about the parcel, I want everything to be ok so that it can travel while I move and the return will be once I’m in my new house.
It´s here! No clues to why it took so long, though the postman thinks it might be because it is pretty tall and that is a non standard format for the mail he handles and might not have fit some sorting machines and all. Maybe. It´s got no customs stamps or anything. (and yay for the postman who knew I was expecting this and made a detour out of order to check if there was anybody home at a more likely hour than his usual arrival time).

and tried a bit, though leaving enough of other samples of a few others, the ones I have tried already I have reviewed (except Kitty´s genmaicha which I could not find and which was beautiful).
Anna, do you want to be surprised by what i added or not? I am going to save a list, can post it now or after you receive it!
The Genmaicha doesn’t have a Steepster page as I’m not sure how to go about it. I mean I blended it but following Yunomi’s instructions and with 3 different teas from different companies. It is delicious though, I fell in love with that Genmaicha the first time I tried it :)
I would put the brand as custom and write the teas you made it from and the instructions in the ‘about the tea’ bit.
I’d love to see what you added! I’m very excited about the box, and I’m so glad to hear you had a good time with it.

43 – Verdant blooming jasmine tea flower (emergency. Kindly sent to me by Angrboda in a swap, been saving it for when i had a glass teapot, and I usually hate passing tea samples to other people, but hey jasmine will be more enjoyed chez Anna. plus I still have not got a glass teapot).
