Countdown to Catching Up! Tea Countdown: Tea 3 - Pineapple Cherry Fizz Green Rooibos!

Hello, everyone!

As I mentioned in a recent tasting note, I’m wa-aaayyyy behind on my teas of the week, so far behind that I cringe when I think about posting the actual week that the tea belongs to, so for the next 10 teas that I’ll be announcing, I’m going to just call this a “countdown to catching up!”

Pineapple Cherry Fizz Green Rooibos – Tea 3 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)

Bright pineapple, sweet-tart cherries & hints of lemon-lime soda together with a red & green rooibos blend for a base – it’s really quite nice. Light & refreshing – it makes for a stunning iced tea that also tastes quite nice as a hot drink.

Dreaming of a Grey Holiday Black Tea – Tea 4

If the name didn’t totally give it away for you, this is yet another Earl Grey variation from me, this time, I’ve used a black tea blend of Assam, Ceylon & Yunnan along with a teensy bit of Vietnamese to round it all out. Then I added cranberries & vanilla bean, as well as some marshmallow root. It turned out rather nice!

Winter Pear Green Tea – Tea 5

This is so YUMMY! Ripe, juicy pear combined with hints of vanilla, caramel & cinnamon blended with our smooth, organic Chinese Sencha. It’s a cozy treat for your teacup!

Vanilla Yunnan Black Tea – Tea 6

THIS ONE IS SOLD OUT! Rich Yunnan Black Tea blended with vanilla beans & vanilla flavored sugar crystals for a sublime vanilla experience! Nice!

Chai Spiced Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha – Tea 7

I honestly cannot believe I didn’t think of creating this flavor any sooner than I did & to be perfectly honest, I didn’t actually come up with the flavor on my own. I came across a recipe for a Chai Spiced Rice Krispy Treat & if this was a cartoon, a lightbulb would have appeared over my head.

Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast Black Tea Tea 8

This tea hasn’t been reblended since Frank’s era, but I think I did a pretty good job with my version – which is slightly different from Frank’s. I have a different base, I used actual freeze-dried pumpkin & pumpkin seeds in the blend . . . & to be perfectly honest, I didn’t have the original recipe when I reblended it due to a computer crash. All that said, this tastes wonderfully pumpkin-y, pancake-y & just – yummy!

Peach Kuchen Green Tea Tea 9

This tea is AMAZING! The flavor of the peach is sweet & deliciously peachy – tasting so much like a fresh peach that I’ve actually managed to impress myself. The pastry/cake-y part of this tea is a little less pronounced, as are the warm spices. The peach is the star of this cuppa & I really wouldn’t want it any other way!

Spiced Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie Honeybush – Tea 10

What a wonderful way to kick off a countdown! This naturally caffeine-free tisane is so tasty! Notes of spice fill the sip – not spicY – but gently, warmly spiced. The way you want an oatmeal cookie to taste – freshly baked with warm, welcoming notes of cinnamon & ginger & just a kiss of nutmeg. Then you get that sweet-tart note of cranberry & the comforting flavor of oatmeal.
