2020 International Virtual Tea Festival
Just found out about this through a vendor e-mail! Because it’s 2020 and there are no conventions/festivals this year, this is being held online. It’s being held the weekend of November 7-8. If you sign-up online by November 6th, the registration is FREE to watch tea-related programming over the Internet.
Check here for more details and find the sign up link if interested: https://www.teafestivals.org/
Oh man…. I wish I had known about this before! Missed out on the swag. But will still attend! Thank you!
The swag was sold out by the time I found out about it too. Glad to have Steepsterers along for the ride, though!
Sounds interesting, we will see how big will be my workload. Anything where we would meet :D, though virtual way only?
This is the first ever virtual tea festival, so I don’t know exactly what it is going to be like. I have logged in and signed up for the panels I’m interested in attending, I don’t know if those will have interactive “chat rooms” or not since it isn’t until the weekend after next.
Though, we could always set up Steepster Zoom/Google Hangout/what have you meetings. In fact, there is even a panel during the tea festival called “how to create your own virtual tea meetings and festivals” to learn how to organize/set up that sort of thing. :-)
Ah yeah, I thought there will be available some chats. We will see; I haven’t registered yet.
But Steepster Zoom/MS Teams/G Hangouts/whatever, that sounds actually like a nice idea. Okay, I know that same people could be careful about their privacy; for me it will mean probably early morning, night session, but somehow I feel I want to share sessions, while I can’t with anyone else in real life.
This sounds so fun! I already have plans next weekend and won’t be able to participate, but thank you for sharing the info, Mastress Alita!
The Nomad Tea Festival was another virtual festival that popped up a few months back; they did North American and Europe events. It looks like people are jumping on the opportunity. The Nomad Tea Festival was quite well-organized and was fun to attend and poke around, so I will keep an eye on this one too…
Edit: Always good when you see a few names you recognize as Speakers, to. Lydia Kung is very knowledgeable, for anyone who wants to pay for the talks.
I just bought access for two tea blending classes. Have my alarm set on my phone so I don’t forget!
It seems I will stick on my thesis than Tea Festival, though virtual. I am bit bitter about that, but have fun everyone!
