lol trying to fix one now? Or planning head :)
Hahaha I have a tiny bit of one. :)
Once upon a time, having a really bad hangover I tried and googled for the best hangover tea. The results of my small research basically suggest that the best tea is “tea”, meaning herbal tea, probably from herbs that calm your upset stomach(an example might be St John’s wort:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_St._John%27s-wort). I also read that real tea may upset your stomach since it contains caffeine…
I figured something herbal might be good, since I know caffeine is bad. The peppermint I have right now is helping somewhat
Ginger tea with honey. The ginger will calm your stomach and the honey will help normalize your blood sugar.
Detox from Davids is theoretically good for that sort of thing. I would think most comfort teas would work too – mint or ginger if it’s tummy hangover, plus mint helps bust headaches.
Non-caffeinated tisanes might be better as they would theoretically hydrate you more than proper tea.
I agree ginger tea with honey! Drink it before you go to bed the night of drinking. :)
Wait are you old enough to have a hangover? ;)
Ah, I remember my college days.
A little caffeine is good for headaches (it’s an ingredient in many migraine/headache medicines) so I’m thinking a green or white tea w/mint or ginger.
Heh, green tea makes me nauseous at the best of times, if I had a hangover I would need to hide from the evil green tea!
Yeah, I would say lemon & ginger in some combination is probably what you want. Or, at least that’s what I want for a hangover since mine tend to be all nausea. :P
http://www.davidstea.com/organic-some-velvet-morning this is supposed to help. never tested it though, so I can’t testify :P
Although not sure if there’s any scientific evidence, the Japanese recommend a very strong green tea.
Just as a reminder – when drinking drink on a full stomach and drink as much water as you do alcohol. This has helped me avoid a lot of bad “drunk” experiences.
