Effect of teapot height on leaf matter coming through spout

This is specific to gong fu clay teapots for use with puers. I notice that quite a lot of leaf matter comes through the spout when using short profile pots (especially with shou). Would a taller pot (dragon egg etc) effect this?

My thinking is with a taller pot, the small leaf matter would end up on the side of the pot, instead of coming through the spout. Anyone have any experience with this?
