It seems faster than it did. YAY!
I love the new speed too!
How funny, I was thinking of adding some kind of modifier to invite others to post what they like in the recent updates to the ‘Bug’ thread, but now you’ve gone and created a new ‘Likes’ thread! This is probably better anyway. : )
The speed. SOOOOOOOOOO much faster. Can’t get any better than that: a zoom a zoom a zoom!
Indeed and funny that isn’t even what made me think of making this thread lol but yes VERY fast and I love it! :)
yes! I haven’t had issues loading pages in almost a week now. Maybe I will finally review some teas – I was having the most trouble with the tea review pages.
Love the speed! I haven’t been here for awhile so it’s nice to come back to some fast load times. :D
OolongLily: Welcome back!
Thanks! Glad to see you’re still here! =)
I agree about the discussion board change. It’s much easier to tell read and unread apart now.
Also the speed, yes.
And I think it’s a good idea that they put their tea club plan in the old Select spot, making it easier for interested people to find and more people aware of its existance in the first place.
Oddly but happily, I’ve never had speed issues with Steepster, so I can’t really see a difference. But I’m just going to use this opportunity to say that Steepster is simply a pleasure :)
It is definitely a huge speed improvement. I had pretty much stopped using it because it was so slow. Great job on the changes!
Thanks very much for the kind words, everyone! This makes my day :)
Speaking of my day… more bug fixing to do. Site may be intermittently slow as we make the updates, appreciate your patience.
I really appreciate that the notices will now expire after some time, (if I read the comment correctly). Those that I can’t get to always poked at me.
Thanks for the great work Steepster overlords!
WOW. One VERY impressive change: while I was reading a recent post, the time-stamp at the top and to the right of the blogger’s name (i.e. ‘said XX minutes ago’) CHANGED from 30 to 31! THAT BLOWS ME AWAY! I don’t think I have EVER seen the text on a webpage update without the user doing something on their end (like refreshing the page). If I click on the tab to that page after working in another tab (in Firefox 13.0) it also seems to update that time-stamp (as it now shows, 36). Now that I think about it, this may be a feature of the new up-grade I recently made to Firefox, or maybe it’s a new HTML feature you guys have implemented on your end (if that’s possible), or something else entirely, I don’t know. Regardless, I love it!
I like that on my dashboard it now lists the # of “tea rooms reviewed” in addition to how many teas are in my cupboard. I think this will remind me to review more places, makes it easier to read a member’s reviews if I am looking at their profile, and it will hopefully make the Places feature more popular.
