2019 Chicago International Tea Festival

Hey, Steepsters!

Finally getting another tea festival off the ground in the Midwest – this time in Chicago. :) While the Midwest Tea Fest in Kansas City is still going strong (Sept 8 & 9 this year, http://www.midwestteafest.com ), I am also heading up a group dedicated to bringing a combined industry & public tea festival to Chicago ( http://www.citfest.com )!

This will be November 1, 2 & 3, 2019 at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza Chicago River North hotel. We have sooo many good ideas floating around about how to make this an amazing event, I’m confident we will end up with something well worth attending!

The first day is industry only, with industry-centric educational offerings but there will be a limited number of tickets available on this day to the public as well. So if you are a dedicated tea-head, you can come to all 3 days if you want and go to some workshops that may be a little more industry-focused if you have a curiosity about that.

Days 2 & 3 are open to industry and public alike. You can come meet producers, retailers and educators in the tea industry, taste a whole lot of tea, attend tasting sessions and workshops, catch up with tea-friends from far and near, listen to our international speakers and stock up that tea cabinet on our exhibitor floor.

But… in order to get this thing really rolling, we’ve got to raise some cash for venue and equipment deposits, as well as get some interest from folks who would like to volunteer to help out at the event.
