Steepster Select January Giveaway
The first thing that comes to my mind as a holiday tea is masala chai tea homemade with some chai bora tea! I also love peppermint teas. Sometimes I’ll mix Adagio Peppermint with some Rooibos Vanilla.
Anything Candy Cane!
Candy Cane Lane by CS and Santa’s Secret by DTs come to mind n_n
For me it’s all about cinnamon teas… whether they are with other spices or orange or whatever. But definitely the cinnamon; I have a tea called “Christmas in a Cup” that is pretty much cinnamon with a bit of orange.
For me it’s anything black or spicy. Something about heavier flavors comes to mind when thinking of cold slushy days.
So I really hope I win this one. It is my 15 year anniversary this coming January and this would be a great gift. Well, to answer the question here goes…
1. A lovely bold and brisk orthodox black tea but in the morning only. (Weird I know)
2. Peppermint
3. Candy Cane
4. Cinnamon
5. Chai’s
6. Chestnuts
7. Hazelnuts
8. Vanilla
9. Caramel
10. Creamy teas
Basically a nice warm comforting cuppa tea. A lot of soothing flavors and nothing too bright.
Definitely Candy Cane Lane from Celestial Seasonings! I know when it shows up in the store the holiday season has arrived.
I’m in Israel and we don’t really celebrate Christmas here :) So how about I write about the tea reminds me of the holidays here. That would be black tea (usually a local blend of Ceylon) with some fresh whole mint leaves inside. Not the regular mint, but a more mellow variety that we call “nana”. It’s has a gentler flavor and less of a minty bite.
But what is most memorable is the smell. Israelis often make a big glass pot of tea with many sprigs of nana inside. That sweet-ish minty tea smell fills up a whole house.
It is a very popular drink here, but for me, it’s mostly a holiday drink. I automatically start to think of hash browns with sour cream and jelly doughnuts…
