Keeping tea in a stainless steel thermos, is it OK and how long?

I have found that the longer hot tea sits in an enclosed container, the worse the taste gets, regardless of the inside material. Might have something to do with the stale air in the container, I don’t know.

TOMMMMM .. I Agree! Tea is a delicate drink. I’ve given up on any kind of thermos. Just put a small saucer on top of my tea to keep it warm. Then if there’s a lot left, I do reheat it gently. Wish there were a special hold-the-heat in glass thing for tea, but … cheers!

I agree that the water lacks freshness. When I use a thermos, I pour from up high, to re-oxygenate the water, and that seems to be passable. Much better than no hot water while mobile. Try it, and let me know what you think.
