Permanent Collection Poll - what tea should I add in 2018?
Hello Everyone!
I’m planning on adding another tea to our D’s Teas permanent collection, but which one?
If I’m to be the only one deciding, then my choice would easily be Foggy Coconut. However, Amethyst tells me that we need consumer input here – so here I am to get consumer input!
I want this new addition to be either a Black Tea or a Tisane (Honeybush and/or Rooibos) – we already have 2 green teas in the collection and I want a well-balanced collection. When we’re ready to expand to 5 or 6 teas, then we might consider another green and because I don’t generally keep Oolong or White teas in stock (I usually only order them when I’m planning on a blend), I’d rather not have either of these tea bases as part of the permanent collection at the moment. Maybe at some point when I have a larger facility, but for now, no.
So what do you think? Which Black tea or Tisane would you be ordering regularly if I kept it as part of the permanent collection?
My two cents worth ;)
Black Teas:
- Gourmet Rootbeer
- Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish
- Banana Pudding Black Tea
- Cranberry Creme
Tisane/Rooibos/Honeybush:
- Razzleberry Rooibos
- Kumquat Cheesecake
- Neapolitan Honeybush
Tisane all the way. My favourites so far have been
Crisp cranberry soda
Chocolate strawberry hazelnut honeybush
Honeybush snickerdoodle
EDIT: Forgot to include April Siesta (I’m hooked on the anise + chamomile combo now)
Black teas: Amethyst’s Gold (obviously), Cranberry Creme, and Root Beer Float
Tisane: Crisp Cranberry Soda
Ooh – totally forgot about Amethyst’s Gold but that’s a black I’d be excited to see made permanent as well.
It’s one of my favorite vanilla black teas. I’d be so happy if it was added to the permanent collection.
Of what I’ve tried: Peach Cheesecake Rooibos, Pumpkin Juice, Chocolate Banana Rooibos, Wake Me Up Scotty
Of what I’ve seen others talk about: PBJ Rooibos, Cinnamon Roll Honeybush, Strawberry Orange Scone, or Buttered Cranberry Orange Scone
oh, seconding the Crisp Cranberry Soda (I feel like I mention this whenever you do polls about teas to bring back?) and also maybe, I think it was called Fruit Salad?
and because I just rediscovered and finished the taster bag I had: Steepster’s ho-dduk ho-dduk goose because it was SO GOOD and I already miss it. and also the semi-new Root Beer one that you did this year, because I missed it and it sounded so good.
Hi Annie: If you’re referring to the Gourmet Root Beer – I still have some in stock: http://52teas.com/gourmet-root-beer-black-tea-taster/
The Ho-dduk is not one that I’d be able to do as a permanent collection because of the tea I used for the base for that one – it’s not one that I keep in stock and to get a reasonable price for it, I’d have to buy a lot of it.
I loved Franks’s Coconut Banana Cream Pie Hojicha. Also your Berried Treasure. Also Frank’s Date Nut Muffin and Eggnog Yunnan and Black Silk Chocolate Milk made with cocoa shells would be amazing. I could go on.
OH and I forgot about Peachy Keen which I just love. It’s very unique and I have no idea how I’m the only one to write a tasting note for it!
So it could be because I had them earlier today and was loving them but both The Vanilla Marshmallow and Ginger Cola are amazing black teas. Then again, I think I have made my love of Chocolate Eclair and Peppermint Marshmallow Melting in Hot Chocolate quite clear. Oh, and basically any banana black tea. Though if I had to pick one of the above, I would say The Vanilla Marshmallow.
Also, in regards to tisanes, Crisp Cranberry Soda gets another vote from me. That or Fruit Salad.
Amethyst’s Gold
Vanilla Marshmallow
Foggy Coconut
All the Banana Black teas
- Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish
- Banana Pudding Black Tea
- Cranberry Creme
Gourmet Root Beer
Crisp Cranberry Soda
Strawberry hazelnut honeybush
Honeybush snickerdoodle
Fruit Salad
Strawberry Orange Scone
or Buttered Cranberry Orange Scone
Or how about a tisane with various berries since they are a thing in your region?
I’m probably not helping.
