Starting new businness but I have question about import

Hello there, it’s my intention to open a premium tea house but I still have some doubts concerning bureaucracy and EU customs policy. Anyone with experience that may help out?

I would suggest you go to your EU Customs web page and find their import requirements there. It should tell you when you have reached an amount where you have to pay customs fees. I know in the US there are no import taxes on tea but am unsure of the EU.

Hey AllanK, that’s a good call, thanks I’ll check for sure but I would love to have someone answering some more practical things like “how they check” “how much does it cost” “what to do before and after” “is there any (legal) hack…” and so on.

I would suggest you follow a few people on this website who are from the EU, then if they also follow you you can send them a PM. I am guessing you just joined to make this post? There are a number of people from various countries in Europe on here who can tell you their experiences on importing tea. It is true however, that the largest number of people on this site are from the US and will not have any insight for you.

If I were you, I’d absolutely be doing my own research rather than relying on the hearsay of others.

No I’m here since time and as you said mostly are from US, so I shout out here my starting post!
