When do you drink tea
I practically drink throughout the entirety of the day, most of the time. Good pot of green tea for the mornings, and the rest of the day all depends on what I got and what I feel like drinking.
I typically drink tea in the afternoons or evenings. Caffeine doesn’t affect me that much so i can drink tea right before bed.
Morning: black tea
Afternoon: oolong, white or ripe pu erh (When whether is hot, ripe pu erh or green tea)
I prefer my tea in the evening after dinner. Helps me avoid overeating towards the night and keeps me full.
Most of the day.
Usually a roasted oolong or shoumei white in the morning, sheng puerh or something like oriental beauty during the day and shu puerh in the afternoon or evening. This does not add up to THAT much tea in dry grams but of course quite a few infusions. I have the privilege of being able to gongfu brew while working.
Serious sessions usually only on weekends.
For me, all teas taste best in the late morning and early afternoon.
I think black tea (hong cha) probably performs the best out of all teas drunk first thing in the morning.
I think earthy teas (ripe pu’erh, semi-aged and aged raw pu’erh, hei cha) do best later in the day. Also, floral teas like green oolongs do better later in the day rather than first thing in the morning.
I don’t think there’s ever a bad time for drinking tea. That said, I prefer to drink when I need to focus or find inspiration. Sometimes I drink with friends, but I don’t think tea to be strictly social.
