Not receiving Yogic Chai order
Is anyone else having trouble with their Yogic Chai orders? I ordered on 8/13 — that’s over 6 weeks ago — and the account page still shows “Processing”. I checked and my credit card was charged on 8/14. I have sent them emails twice via their web site and have also called and left them a voice-mail. But I haven’t heard back.
Try checking with them on Twitter: https://twitter.com/yogicchai_mtc
It doesn’t appear that they’ve updated their facebook page since May but they’ve tweeted as recently as September 28.
They have also been active recently on their Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/yogicchaimontclair/
Things like this are why I like Paypal. I recently won two Paypal cases against an EBay seller who sold me two Yixing pots on auction. I don’t know if he felt I hadn’t paid enough or what. But after a month the tracking number still had not gone live so to speak. I opened an Paypal claim and got my money back. It is of course a shame as I would have liked the pots but at least I got my money back.
Three months is probably the amount of time before making a claim with normal untracked post. That’s why you should use EMS service. It’s tracked and insured. Sorry.
Mind you, "procsssing’ would seem to indicate that it was never shipped.
@MrQuackers: Yes I think it never shipped — which is what I am looking into.
Thanks @52Teas for the tip re: Twitter and Instagram. They have been great in the past — and it’s a little disappointing that they have not replied to my emails and voicemail while being active on Twitter and Instagram. I just created a Twitter account and posted a question to them — although it doesn’t feel good to be using a public forum like that (because of what it might do to their reputation) vs private emails and voice mails. A simple email note back from them re: why things are delayed would have helped me understand the situation. Will try Instagram in a couple of days if that doesn’t work either.
Thanks!
I agree with you. I personally would prefer a private contact versus something in a public forum with such a matter.
I have dealt with Yogic Chai in the past (before we took over 52Teas) and have always had prompt and courteous responses from them – and very fast shipping as well so to read of your problems surprised me, quite frankly.
Twitter does have a private direct message feature that you can utilize. After that, I would try a public forum because – even though it’s much nicer to be contacted in private – you’ve exhausted this method of contact and have come up with no answers so sometimes, a public forum is necessary to get a response.
