Maybe you should know the reason why tea can’t dispel the effects of alcohol
If you get drunk more, your friends will recommend you for drinking dark tea to hangover. After drinking tea, the urine will increase, and your will smell of alcohol from the urine, we think that wine is discharged so easily. Indeed, after drinking tea, we will feel comfortable, but often use tea to hangover is the way to cause great harm to the body.
The saying that tea can dispel the effects of alcohol is from ancient times, many people are often us dark tea to dispel the effects of alcohol. However, this method not only can do any good for hangover, but also hurt the kidney! Modern medicine confirmed that drinking tea, especially drinking thick tea, will cause adverse effects on the kidneys. Alcohol in the body of the metabolic process is carried out in the liver, when the alcohol into the liver, under the action of oxidase, first oxidized to acetaldehyde, and then was oxidized to acetic acid, acetic acid was oxidized to carbon dioxide and water, and then Respectively, by the kidney and lung discharge.
The only way to dispel the effects of alcohol is to stop drinking it and wait until it leaves your system. For driving purposes I suppose this could be eight or more hours. Tea will do nothing for alcohol and I don’t know anybody who thought it did.
This is an asian myth he is trying to dispel. Dark tea is good for dehydration and has caffeine to help with headache.
However, it won’t help with the negative effects on the liver etc..
Absolutely. Tea tends to be a relatively strong diuretic, so combined with alcohol, dehydration can be a prominent side effect. Dehydration leads to stronger alcohol effects including that of the typical hangover.
Tea on
i have never even heard this myth; very interesting.
i also didn’t know that tea acted as a diuretic! I always thought it was a great way to stay hydrated, because in my brain i think of it as like “nice flavoured water”.
I better be smarter about my water intake I guess!
Well, it depends on the caffeine level, really. I think you can drink as much tea as you want though, as your body can’t get ŕid of all that water quickly.
Typically, you’ll be running to the bathroom several times.
I would even substitute cold brewed green tea for water during exercise.
