A little chat about differences between tea and coffee

Tea and Coffee plants are members of the evergreen family. If allowed to grow naturally, both would develop into fairly large trees. But both plants are kept trimmed to the height of a shrub, so they can be manageably harvested. Both plants produce a drink whose flavor is subtly affected by the growing conditions, such as soil condition, moisture, surrounding vegetation, etc. Both Coffee and Tea have been naturally imparted with a chemical that provides stimulation, caffeine. Also, both drinks come from dried versions of a part of the plant. Finally, both use very similar methods of preparation.
Between tea and coffee, what would you prefer? Can you share your reason?

Tea, of course. My family like having tea everyday, and I have this since I was little.

I can’t get use of the flavor of coffee. I always add many sugar into it but still don’t like it. Tea is my first chioce now.

I always start my day with coffee, but the switch to tea has been coming earlier and earlier. Tea has so much more variety and complexity that it is just much more interesting to me. However, I feel the caffeine from coffee much more than I do from tea, so need the jump-start in the morning.

I definitely agree about the complexity. Coffee is good and I think there is some variety, but tea seems to have coffee beaten pretty solidly on that. Also, I’m caffeine sensitive and the amount coffee has is a lot more than tea. Tea gives me the same alertness as coffee without giving me the shakes and heart-racing that coffee does. I have completely eliminated coffee and have switched to teas.

Tea. I drink tea for the taste not for the caffeine, and I really do not like the taste or smell of coffee.
