Support Matcha Bottle Kickstarter
Tea Friends!
Lisa Henderson developed a prototype for the first matcha bottle on the market to expertly make matcha on-the-go incorporating traditional tools: the bottle includes a cap with whisk attached, 8oz double walled stainless steel bottle (for any hot or cold liquid), one compartment to hold 2oz of matcha and one compartment for the sieve and whisk. All components combine to form one elegantly designed bottle that can be placed in your bag and travel to the office, park, or anywhere in the world.
Please consider visiting her Kickstarter page, sharing it with friends and supporting a tea entrepreneur by pre-ordering a bottle! Bonus, her early bird reward (only 183 left!) includes 20g matcha for free.
If just 378 steepster members purchased a bottle, and then encouraged a tea friend to purchase one as well, the campaign would be complete.
Thanks for your help!
This is intriguing. Thanks for sharing. I will admit $60 is a hefty price to pay for a matcha bottle. David’stea has something similar that they sell for $35 I believe. $50 I think would be a fairer price.
I’m curious how well this would work for cold matcha too.
Also a side note, I don’t think there are 378 active steepster members on here in the first place ;)
I own the DavidsTea matcha bottle. It is quite good and less of a monotasker. It does a great job for loose leaf and cold brew, especially since you can remove the leaf with the extra filter they provide.
Heck, I use it for hot tea when I don’t need much heat retention. The air release valve is amazing as if the bottle gets shaken too much, I know it won’t explode hot liquids.
But yeah, that’s tough. $60 is steep. Paying a lot for stainless steel (does one need heat/cold retention for matcha to go?) and compartments.
I admit I would not store 2oz of matcha in the bottle, that is simply too much to leave not in the fridge and a lot of matcha to get through.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the feedback thus far. The price is a reflection of all the intricacies and engineering that went into making this product. I understand 2oz is too much for matcha agree I wouldn’t put 2oz of powder in there but I would keep a little tin foil packet of matcha of 20grams. Idea with this is you just grab your bottle and go.. with Davids or other containers you still need to take your matcha tin and spoon. I have not used it but I’m not sure if it suspends well without any whisking and just from shaking. Also with the compartment you can store other tea and use it as an infuser with the sieve.
Thanks let me know if you think of anything else.
