Looking to connect for Vahdam Promotions
Hi, We are looking to connect with any Steepster members who have sampled and liked Vahdam Teas. We have a great promotion opportunity coming up for which we’d like you to participate in. Kindly drop a reply with “I’m interested” on this thread and follow me so that I can connect with you.
Im interested, I recently ordered a sample pack and waiting for delivery, but will be putting up reviews once i get it.
Sure I would like to hear about it. So far I have liked the teas of yours I have tried. I have only gotten to about half of them so far and posted a number of reviews here.
How do you brew first flush tea anyway? Im still trying to get the brewing just right on that.
Hi Allan & Ken, thank you for your interest. I will connect with both of you shortly on this promotion. @Ken – Good luck with the brewing. I could share brewing notes from our in-house Chief Leaf.
That will work , you can either message them to me or post them here so everyone can benefit from the brewing tips.
I have been brewing the first flush western style but 190 degrees and get good results. Have not tried to gongfu it.
Warm the teapot with hot water
Discard the water
Add 3.5g of tea per 200ml (a little more for First Flush, a little less for Second Flush). Volume is inaccurate because the size of the tea leaf will influence how much tea you can get in a tsp. Weighing tea each time for brewing can get tedious rather quickly. So weigh the first time, take note of the volume, and eyeball it for subsequent brews.
Add hot water (95C)
Steep for 3 minutes
Strain out the leaves and serve in cups/mugs/glasses.
I use the above as a benchmark and start adjusting from there. More tea and/or longer steeps if the taste is too weak. Less tea, shorter steeps, lower water temperature if the tea is too strong or bitter.
Since it is your tea, make it the way you like it. Add milk and/or sugar if you prefer. I tend not to add any milk and just a small bit of sugar, ¼ teaspoon per 360ml of Darjeeling tea.
Hope this helps. Happy Brewing!
Okay got my order tried one of the second flush and WOW!!! the first flush though still isnt hitting with that wow, Ill keep working on it, Ill have full reviews up soon.
I’m interested. New to steepster but I’ve shopped with you before and planning another order soon.
I’m interested. I have 8 FF2016 Darjeelings and 1 2017 Darjeeling coming in on Monday from my favorite retailer. Is there any chance of getting 50g FF Darjeeling packs do I can try several brews and nail down the best parameters for your teas? I believe your samplers only offer 10g per tea.
I’ve sampled a bit of your teas for this spring season, and I have enjoyed them quite a bit. I’d be interested in your activities :)
Thanks a lot for your interest and sincere apologies for the delay in my response. We’re celebrating Vahdam’s birthday (April 28) and I was looking for reviewers. May I connect with you once the birthday fervour is over?
If the opportunity is still available I am interested in participating. I am grateful that you offer your tea on Amazon for quick shipping, and have reviewed your tea on that platform as well.
In fact I am drinking your second flush assam over ice as I write this.
