Win a 10 years old white tea
Dear tea lovers,
At the Nannuoshan Tea House we are searching for a statement that best describes our company philosophy. Lacking ideas and not being a native English speaker, we though to ask again your opinion :-)
For the best idea, we offer 30 grams of a Baimudan Wang 2007!
Here what’s all about:
We are re-designing the labels to stick on the tea bags. On the back side, next to the steeping instruction, we will write:
NANNUOSHAN TEA HOUSE
Statement 1 (short)
Statement 2 (long)
At the moment Statement 1 is: “Fine tea culture as in China”
A first idea is to replace it with: “The art of tea”
which reflects much better our aim of connecting Chinese tea with Chinese art and culture. What do you think of it? Any better idea?
For Statement 2 we really need your help.
This website describes better who we are: http://ratetea.com/brand/nannuoshan/587/
Keywords:
whole-leaf
picked and crafted by tea masters
directly sourced by the tea farmers
More about our philosophy: http://www.nannuoshan.org/pages/about-us
“Statement 2” can be also 2-3 statements long for a total of 15-20 words.
Looking forward to hearing your ideas! We have to find the statements by the end of the week and already feel the pressure!
Statement 1: “The Art of Tea”
This is an excellent brand message for Nannuoshan. It communicates what you are offering to the consumer – taste, experience, craftsmanship, education, etc. It also clearly summarizes the philosophy your company represents, based on what I read on your website. I cannot improve on this message.
Statement 2 – I have two options:
A. “Expertly processed by tea masters. Directly sourced by us. Brewed by you. Experience the tradition of the art of tea.”
OR
B. “Premium whole-leaf tea, sourced directly from farmers and expertly processed by tea masters. Experience the tradition in every cup.”
Option B is a little more standard, summarizing what Nannuoshan stands for. Option A focuses a bit more on the customer as active participant in the tradition as “tea brewer.” This reinforces Nannuoshan’s efforts in tea education. Also, it is particularly appropriate to put it next to brewing instructions!
You can mix and match too – I’m not sure I would repeat “the art of tea” if it is appearing right underneath “Statement 1”. So, you could end Option A above with “Experience the tradition in every cup.”
Anyway – best of luck to you and Nannuoshan! We appreciate your quality tea offerings.
@apefuzz, thanks a lot for the thought-trough suggestion! I like Option A the most, with the ending “Experience the tradition in every cup.” Looking forward to read more, but this is definitely a great start!
Statement B:
We bring you whole leaf tea, directly sourced from farmers and curated by tea masters so that you can steep a masterpiece every time.
回甘 Huigan
To reflect, sweet returns.
Wer nicht Bitteres gekostet hat,
weiss nicht was suss ist.
Statement A:
Perfection and art blended together like the leaf and bud
Obsessively perfected by German tea masters as a promise of quality
Statement B:
Our mission is to embody the principles of Chinese tea culture in the western world. We are so proud to source tea directly from farmers that we literally stake our name on it. Nan Nuo Shan is one of the tea growing regions that our tea masters travel to every spring to oversee picking and processing of whole leaf tea, so we can personally guarantee you get the best quality for a reasonable price.
Thank you everybody for the suggestions. Let’s see if Sunday brings even more fantasy in your minds!
A side note: I’ve always referred to the farmers as the tea masters, since are the farmers that process the leaves to the final product.
And the winner is…. apefuzz!
Thanks a lot to everybody for the suggestions, very appreciated.
@apefuzz, can you please send us a message with your address, so that we can send you the aged white tea?
