15’ YS Dehong Purple, yes
Kuwacha Mulbery Leaf tea from Totem Tea. Loved it.
Kuding Cha and Jingmai Crab legs. Definitely out there.
Its bitterness flavor will give you a deep impression, haha!
Indeed! Very bitter only takes about 2 leaf rolls.
Bug shit tea. Slugs eat tea leaves and poop them out and the poop is collected for tea. I am not joking, got some from Chawangshop a while back. I didn’t like it.
Whoaa! I’m not sure I’m brave enough for that. What did it taste like?
Like slippery shu. I couldn’t get over the idea of it, thOugh it wasn’t too bad.
I guess the most unusual is Hawaiian rain-forest white tea. Not that unusual compared to some, but it was awesome!
Ooo I like the sound of this! Very exotic :)
May I ask which farm this was at? I’m going to Hawaii this year and I’m wanting to visit some tea farms.
Hi! It’s Wabisabi tea from Japan!

okay these guys win, they drank dead leaves and a grasshopper. I dont think anyone is topping this.
I don’t know if this counts as unusual, but I’ve always thought the idea of shou puer was odd. It’s tea that’s been decomposed for 45 days. And then aged.
Like steeping your compost heap?
I really liked the Tai Pei Hou Kui – I got it as a sample from a family that grow some of my other teas in China. It is a green tea and looks unlike any other tea with its massive leaves.
