Who is in Seattle?
Hello fellow tea lovers!! Just wondering if there are any steepsters out there from or should i say IN Seattle or surrounding areas. Always looking for people to connect with and possibly enjoy a cup of tea with. I currently have an online tea store http://www.specialteabrew.com , hope to one day find a business partner or join a team in the Tea world.
Brew what you love, and love what you Brew!

I’m looking to move there! For now, just visiting a few times a year. Will be back the 1st weekend in June for the New Horizon’s Fundraiser walk.
Well, I don’t know if you’d consider it a “surrounding area” but I am in Vancouver, WA… which is just north of Portland.
well of course it is “kind of” surrounding . Fun , glad to see there are others in the Steepster land that are close by
Hee Hee, I am in Redmond WA… Love it is here!
Redmond is my HOME TOWN!!!!!! I love love love redmond, im in actual Seattle as of Aug. but I kinda want to come back to Redmond :) just need to find the perfect place to move back to :)
Bothell, but at Remedy’s when ever I have an excuse. So for the locals has anyone been to Seattle’s Best Tea Corp? I’ve heard good things just haven’t made it down there yet.
ooo bothell has a good tea place too :) I have not been to the Seattle’s Best Tea Corp. where is it in Seattle? is it a Tea cafe type place? Love Remedy’s it is fun, nice with lots of tea selections!
hmmm I did not know that… there are so many places here there has to be another… doesnt there?
You’d think. Not that I’ve found. I wish Japanese restaurants would serve it. Please prove me wrong if you can!:)
okay so i YELPED matcha… and it looksl ike Miro Tea (which is fun to go to) in ballard has it, there is also Floating leaves in ballard (have not been) there is some place in university district called Shinka Tea and a place in Wallingford called Hiroki both say they have Match… The Tea Cup in Seattle ( queen anne) I think… has it too :), not 100% though on that they have mostly black teas there. I have not gotten into the Matcha world yet so I am not sure who has the best :)
As far a matcha goes I believe you can also get it at Kuan Yin Teahouse in wallingford and the Panama hotel in south Seattle.
Also I don’t think Seattle’s best tea corp is a cafe but I hear they have some of the best tea you can buy locally, just haven’t made it down that far to check them out.
The eastside has quite a few teahouses but most of them are Victorian themed, I wish there were a couple cafe’s with atmosphere’s similar to Remedy’s and Teacup on the eastside. Are there any that I am missing
?
Miro in Ballard is pretty cool… and I wish there were more too, that is why I want to be one of them :) one day soon… well maybe not soon, but I do hope to be one of the NON-victorian kind :)
I’m hoping to be there next year. I’m still waiting to hear back from Bastyr. fingers crossed
No you don’t- you want to start an organic matcha bar in Seattle… sushi, asian sweets, authentic matcha, matcha smoothies… LOL How’s that for subliminal messaging?
ha that is awesome, you will have to show me the way of matcha, I have not learned to love it yet :).
I got into Bastyr! I’ll be going to school in Kenmore in the fall! I hope to meet you steepsterers~
I wish we were in the Seattle area. I’m feeling very “over” the east coast. That is mostly due to my “wonderful” job. ANYWAY….my husband wants to at least visit the Seattle area. Fingers crossed for a visit there soon!
Visiting is dangerous- you won’t want to leave! :) Take lots of time and rent a car to take a road trip to the east side too… the whole state is amazing!
I have been very over the east coast ever since I moved here from San Diego (thanks oodles mom & dad). Unfortunately as much as my job doesn’t thrill me, I can’t make the same amount of $$ anywhere else. (I work for the federal government.) If only I could be a famous novelist…
Seattle is pretty and green, but winters can get the out of towners a little down in the dumps… grey skies a lot around here. I have been here my whole life so eh Im used to it , and it makes me really really really appreciate the sunshine when it shows its happy face!! But Seattle has it all, water, mountains, forest, country, city. it is very very groovy! @keentea don’t we all wish we could quit our day (boring) jobs and do what we REALLY want to do!! Oh if only money were never a factor!
