What will you brew for NYE/ New Years Day?

I know A lot of us enjoy steeping up something special around the holidays, anyone already decided what they will brew to ring in the New Year?

Some sancenping high altitude oolong or fresh sencha depending on whether my tea orders arrive by tomorrow. Otherwise, I’ll just reach for the usual stuff from my stash.

2004 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Champagne in the evening. Tomorrow I’ll worry about it later…

I’m birdwatching all day long to pad my year list for the day, so I’ll just be having a bowl of match early morning (from Den’s Tea).

Unfortunately I worked today so had little time for tea except a cup of black from Yunnan Sourcing in the morning, I don’t even remember which one. And I work tomorrow so I won’t have much time for tea tomorrow. My new job seriously interferes with my tea drinking and I don’t drink tea late because I like to sleep at night and must avoid the caffeine. So for tonight, New Years Eve I will make a cup of Peppermint, probably David’s Tea Peppermint Amour which is a very good peppermint.

Drinking Ippodo’s Good Fortune tea for tonight, and will hopefully start on the sheng Olympiad samples tomarrow now that I’m back home.

Today is New Year’s Day. Happy New Year everyone! I have been and still am drinking down my greens through the holidays. Right now it’s Nan Jing Yu Hua Cha from Grand Tea. This tea is not as good as it was a few months ago. It’s lost just a little bit of that freshness but still a great tea.

I had no clue what I was going to drink today, but I started with high mountain assamica white tea from Vietnam and then some old traditional storage pu erh from Guangzhou that I’ve had for four years. It’s improved considerably in that time and the storage flavor has dissipated greatly!
