I drink green every day, much of the week it’s the only type of tea that I drink. I guess I’m already doing what you mean.
Note that in Japan a lot of people do just that, and even in China, the most produced and most drank type of tea is green.
If I had to choose one type of tea it would definitely be ripe puerh tea.
It was a tough call between ripe and pu erh maocha. I could always make ripe from maocha. Lol
My problem with the idea of making my own ripe is simply put I like to drink good ripe, that precludes me from making it myself. I wouldn’t have the first clue about how to make my own ripe.
Put it in a basket and wet it (but not too little or too much) and wait! You’d have to turn it too to promote even decomposition. I’m sure there’s a guide online somewhere. I’ve never tried it, but I tried some of tea-side’s homemade shu and it is incredible!
Either green tea or green oolongs
Definitely green tea for me. I drink it everyday already but I do add some other teas in now and then.
Didn’t realise you n luckyme were such green tea fans.
There are a few of us on Steepster that are green tea enthusiasts!
Raw pu’er tea in cake or maocha.
+1 could also make your own shou from it as well. Double hit.
I would miss sheng, that’s true.
I would say for me it has to be Rooibos.
Rooibos you can add a few slices of lemon and pour a drop of delicious Manuka honey. Fantastic for sore throats!
It tastes awesome when cold and can be made into soups. Very versatile!
A friend brought me some Shangri La Rooibos from South Africa and fruity notes is like having an explosion of interesting flavours in your mouth.
Black. But then, there is genmaicha…
Green tea matcha for me! (my fav is www.tenzotea.co (it’s a secret tho ;))
I found a Chai like no other I’ve ever tasted. With this, I could die happy.
