Mandala???
Does anyone have any idea on when Mandala will be back up and running. It’s been a while. I am trying to buy Garret’s Green Gold green tea. I use it for cold brews which is amazing. Like no other green tea cold brewed. If no one has an idea, can anyone point me in the right direction where I can find something similar to his green gold. I’ve tried cold brewing sencha and gyokuro with results no where near his green gold. Thank you in advance for all the help.
If you hear back let us know. I tried asking through facebook and haven’t heard back yet…that was a week ago?
Just how long has the website been down? I know they closed their brick and mortar store a couple of months back. I suppose from what it says on the web page they are in the middle of relocating their inventory to a new warehouse location.
August 25th. It has been awhile now. I got the email newsletter when they closed.
Maybe they were in poor financial shape if they haven’t reopened in two months. I know their brick and mortar store couldn’t have been making money or they wouldn’t have closed it. I like Mandala and would certainly like to see them reopen, but if they have stayed closed for two months and don’t answer emails maybe they aren’t going to reopen. I would like to see Garret answer this thread and tell us Mandala will reopen and give us a time frame.
It’s not looking good. Had I known I would have stocked up on his Green Gold.
I called the number that is on the website with no answer either.
I hate to say it but if they aren’t back in business by now maybe they are not going to be. They certainly don’t seem to answer any communication. If Garret is still following Steepster he has by now seen this thread and has chosen not to respond. Perhaps Garret is no longer following Steepster.
Oh crap, that’s not good news. I hope they are retooling.
I won’t lose hope, Macha Tea Company in Madison closed when the big street in front of their space started a major road reconstruction. Would have been two years of trucks, dust and noise, hardly conducive to the atmosphere of a tea house. Well they have reopened now in another area of town and seem busy.I bought a lot of puerh from Mandala and they are the only puerh source right on a direct mail route east. I got packages in a day.
Ok now I am starting to worry.
The strange thins is if they are going out of business you would expect they would try to sell off their inventory first.
They are relocating and have posted a message to that effect on their online page. http://shopmandalatea.com
Yes I saw that but after nearly two months you have to wonder is it just that they are relocating and haven’t finished the move? Or is it something else. It’s generally bad for business to be out of business for so long. Customers who used to get their puerh from Mandala will by now have gone elsewhere. Many will come back if Mandala reopens but there is always that small number you don’t get back.
