Anyone have any experience with moychay.ru?
Seems like they’ve been around for some time, but I don’t see any reviews for any of their teas. I guess they’ve stayed under the radar?
Never heard of them before. Do they sell a lot of puerh? Being a Russian website do they even ship to the USA? The website looks interesting at first glance. When I click on the button to change the price to dollars it stays in rubles. I have no idea if they have good prices or bad because I have no idea how much a ruble is worth.
Like Matu said, make sure you’re changing the correct thing. It does work for me at least.
They do ship to the US, looks like the base shipping is $35 though, so you have to make it worth your while.
Price-wise, it runs the gamut from quite cheap to holy @#$! – They have some ‘collectors’ cake of which there were only 40 pressed for the nice low price of $2359.
They have been revamping their site to be more accessible to the English speaking market, and seem to be trying to get a foothold there.
The current economical situation in Russia might have spurred them to look past the domestic market.
I’ve never ordered, but I remember seeing a blogger take a look at some of their puerh.
Oolong Drunk I believe – trying to pull it up so I could link it for you, but my internet isn’t liking his site at the moment >.<
You can check out a US review of their tea here: http://coolcodyc.wixsite.com/theoolongdrunk/single-post/2016/07/04/Russian-Puer-Part-1
I bought some of their teas from the physical tea room when I traveled to Russia earlier this Summer. I didn’t buy any puerh though… I figured I can buy puerh from China, not Russia, right?
The teas I bought were Russian and Georgian, also some herbal ones unique to Russia. They were all very good.
I asked them if they ship to the US or Europe, the answer was yes, but they said I have to place an actual order in order to know the shipping charge.
I hope this helps!
I buy most of my teas from another Russian shop, http://realchinatea.ru/ . They are based in China. Russian-only website, unfortunately. Google translate might work. They do sell excellent teas at reasonable price.
