What does Earl Grey go well with? I vote for baklava.
I’m partial to Twinings Lady Earl Grey. That’s probably my fave tea of that type.
I bought some Lady Earl Grey this year because Twinings had a booth in our building, and had a sale, and they didn’t have the ordinary version. I’ve not bought any floral related tea or mass-produced commercial tea in so long I can’t remember when but it was really ok. I liked the Cordon Bleu version I bought this year better; really heavy on the bergamot. I think I’m good on Earl Grey for another year or two at this point, although I’m not that far from finishing both.
I really like Cream EG and Rosie EG from New Mexico Tea Company.
This is one of my main tea worries: I don’t know which Earl is the best anymore! The Whispering Pines Earl Gold sounds perfect but it doesn’t seem like an every-day, must sustain me through winter type of Earl. A special Earl maybe. I’m sipping one of my favorites now: SpecialTeas Creme de Earl Grey. It is one of my oldest teas but somehow has so much flavor left. But I only have these tiny amounts pf some fading Earl Greys left. I guess I’m very picky about which EG I love. I usually LOVE teas from Harney or Simpson & Vail but their bergamot isn’t perfect for my tastes. I’ll have to try Teajo’s Earl again. That one was really good years ago but I haven’t tried it since… it has probably changed like Zen’s (previously my favorite).
