Tea filters
Hi everyone!
I’ve recently started an internship and I would like to know if everyone has experience in using filters like this ones: http://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/100pcs-Empty-Teabags-String-Heat-Seal-Filter-Paper-Herb-Loose-Tea-Bags-Worldwide-store/32613052767.html?spm=2114.12010408.1000017.2.tYehw4#
I can obtaine hot water in the office and I thought that this would be a great idea to brew it without causing much trouble.
What do you think?
I used to use similar filters at my last job. There I was able to keep a small tea kettle in my locker but no teaware. So I would fill tea filters like that one at home. You might find a better deal on Amazon if you are in the USA. This is the one I used to use, Very cheap for 600 filters. The link you provided is a photo only so I don’t know what they are charging you.

Thanks. I think that it will be the best way to brew it at the office.
This is the link to the filters: http://es.aliexpress.com/item/100pcs-Empty-Teabags-String-Heat-Seal-Filter-Paper-Herb-Loose-Tea-Bags-Worldwide-store/32613052767.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.54.I70skw
The price makes me thing about ‘the quality’ (at the end of the day I’ll have to swallow the result).
I have also found those in Amazon Spain: https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B002WB12IY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A16KNDKTZUDQ3L
I have used similar filters that I bought on amazon and I’ve really liked them. They’re nice for filling with loose tea and tucking in my purse when I’m away from home.
I definitely prefer the white drawstring ones you posted over any paper ones I’ve tried. They don’t leave that soggy paper taste when I brew my rooibos from a long time.
WHat do you think about somethign like this coffe brewer? It would be ok to use it with tea with paper filters?

I like these paper filters from Adagio: http://www.adagio.com/teaware/paper_filters.html
They are longer than regular tea bags and easily accommodate large leaf teas.
I use these daily at work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/301558121410?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=600457012468&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Tried and tested with a variety of raw and ripe pu-erhs, including the infamous 2000 Green Stamp from Essence of Tea (https://www.instagram.com/p/BAiEt4WoDmXlfGeu8szunivUHr2j7PkBF1y-8g0/). Currently I’m using them with 2004 Dehong Chawangshop (raw), 2015 Last Thoughts White2Tea (raw), 2006 Gongting shu White2Tea (ripe) and Da Hong Pao Dragon Tea House.
I find they allow flavours to come out which I sometimes do not observe when drinking at home with a gaiwan.
I’ve finally bought the amazon filters. They’re aprox 0.03€ cents per filter, so I think it’s a good deal compared with coffee knowing that I can get free hot water at work.
I hope the water at work is good water. You will notice bad water more with tea than with coffee. At my old job where I was able to keep a kettle I brought filtered water to work every day. But the filters should work well. It really is a matter of the quality of the tea you put in them. Supermarket tea bags suck because the tea is so low quality, not because they are teabags.
I received the filters and have been using them during this whole week.
Good experience. The only matter is that I can’t regulate the water temperature (I think that the machine gives it at 90ºC aprox) but I will use cheap tea for it. So no problem.
I know a bit late, but we have an office full of all sorts of tea gadgets and half the time end up using those filters anyway!
