Do you drink alcoholic beverages?

If so what type do you drink and why?

I prefer a good beer or whiskey myself. I like the different notes and smoothness of a great whiskey. As for why I am asking this, I curious if there is a correlation between tea drinkers and people who drink alcoholic beverages.

I do. I love smoky, leathery, peaty Scotch, bourbon, Irish whiskey, good gin (Hendrick’s is my favorite), unflavored vodka, Campari, Amaro, rye and classic cocktails that are not sweet. I dislike beer and what I call “foo foo drinks” – like very sweet, overly fruity things that taste more like candy or Koolaid than liquor.

Oh, and why? Well, I like the social aspects of drinking. I never drink alone at home. I like the excitement of trying a new drink and the mild relaxation from alcohol. Like tea, if I drink too much, it disturbs my sleep.

Red wine and really good craft stouts for me :)

Beer, Wine, Booze, love them all – though when I began drinking tea in large quantities, the amount of alcohol I drank shrunk to almost zero. It wasn’t on purpose. I just woke up one day and realized I hadn’t had a drink in months.

Same boat. More tea and less alcohol.

It’s funny, I went to a wine tasting 2 nights ago (gifted tickets), and although the wines were all really great, I realized how much tolerance I’ve lost! Whoaaa…

I do. Gin and Tonic’s for summer. Craft beers – stouts, porters, and browns. Hard cider. I like beer because there is a flavor for everyone, especially the session beers.
I like drinking socially and at home. When I’m home, I’m able to savor a beer or dump it out ’cause I hated it and get something new.

I love all kinds of alcoholic beverages, particularly Guinness on tap, dark rum (a Goslings Dark and Stormy = yum), scotch on the rocks, a good pinot noir, a mimosa with brunch, and in the summer I love a drink of my own invention made with Limoncello, which I have named “The Neymar” and it’s quite refreshing.

I do, but not frequently. Mainly when I go on vacation or once in awhile when we go out to eat. Usually mixed drinks with bourbon or wheat beers. I do like honey bourbon in tea though and also Amarula liqueur is fantastic in Assam.

I used to be really into fine wine, until I started taking a medication that stresses my liver. My doctor allows 1 drink per week, and I’m pretty good about sticking to that limit. Sadly, I have cases of classed growth Bordeaux from the 80’s in my wine cellar; much more than a lifetime supply. I’m also into single-malt Scotch.

I started drinking fine tea because I get a lot of the same intellectual pleasure from tea that I get from wine. While I love tea, the range of taste is quite limited compared to wine.

I only drink tea, but for medical reasons since alcohol realllllly hates me. I do, however, really miss the taste of certain alcohols (specifically rum, bourbon, and brandy) and get really giddy on the occasions I run into a tea with similar notes.

I am a beer and scotch drinker in addition to tea :) Beers, I don’t really discriminate and drink everything from very bitter IPAs to chocolatey stouts to light wheat ales and everything in between. I guess my favorites are probably Belgians Dubbels, Trippels and Quads.

Single malts are my preferred whisky but I don’t mind well done blends. Again, I like trying a lot of scotches, whether smoky or honeyed or smooth, all are fun to try! I am also partial to bourbon, although I much prefer scotch haha.

I find that my tea drinking has helped my palate develop a lot in terms of these two beverages the most, I still can’t taste many differences in wines, but I find tea has very similar notes sometimes to beer and certain scotches.

I drink white wine most often, and occasionally a beer or cocktail. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found that most hard liquor and red wine aggravate my acid reflux. Though I do miss the taste of these things, especially red wine!
