Citrus Lavender Sage from Teavana. It’s an herbal.

Kind of dense though, cause it’s just fruit pieces and herbs. I don’t usually drink it straight as I blend it with one of their mates.
Pretty citrusy. I usually eat most of the fruit pieces after infusion.

I find Teavana tends to be good at flavored white teas. There are probably several I have liked although they don’t immediately come to mind. I find I don’t tend to like their straight teas. Teavana in general I find to have a lower quality product than David’s Teas but you will find a variety of small internet sellers who are better than both. Someone like Mandala Tea or Whispering Pines or even Simpson and Vail are in my opinion better than Teavana or David’s tea although I still go to David’s Tea once and a while. I generally don’t go to Teavana anymore.

Not really a Teavana fan, but here are some of my favorites from David’sTea:

Milk Oolong, Root Beer Float, Jungle Ju Ju, Forever Nuts, Checkmate, Blueberry Jam, Cafe Mocha, Banana Dream Pie, Santa’s Secret, Pumpkin Cheesecake

I guess I haven’t tried most of what they have, and hopefully there are still a few of these being sold. :/

Wellll… I was curious enough to check and the only ones still on davidstea.com are Milk Oolong, Jungle Juju, Forever Nuts, & Blueberry Jam. That is a shame.

I always thought Davids had a billion blends, but it looks like the seasonally add and remove teas? That’s also a shame.

David’s Tea Stores are small. They have to limit the number of blends so as to physically fit in their store. I think that’s why they discontinue blends, make room for the new teas. If they were just a web operation they would presumably have more blends.

Ah okay, that makes sense then. I’ve never seen a Davids shop.

Teavana is mainly known for their flavored teas, most of which I was not a fan of except Dragonfruit Devotion which I thought was decent (though I’m not sure how it would taste with no sugar). Golden Dragon Yellow Tea is one of their unflavored offerings, and is easily my favorite from them. Taste is somewhat of a mix of oolong, white, and a bit of green tea… pretty unique and has got me interested to try more Yellow teas.

Toasted Walnut from David’s Tea has a really nice naturally sweet flavour. It’s probably my favourite flavoured green tea.

+1 for Toasted Walnut and Blueberry Jam!

Though the latter has Stevia in it and I’m not sure the extent to which you’re dieting/trying to cut out sweeteners.

I’d also recommend as far as blends that are still available Guava Cadabra, but only as a cold tea, and Vanilla Orchid, which has a really nice custardy flavour.

In fact, David’s tea and Teavana are from a same supplier, so both of their tea resource are same, but difference is formula of flavor. :-)

David’s Tea banana bread – herbal and really did taste like banana bread. I could have eaten the tea, with all the goodies that they threw in there (like banana chips and dates)

I would probably TRY eating that one.

Do they make this anymore?

edit: oh they have some right NOW!

LOL – I discovered it as a free sample in the store in San Francisco. Had it not been a sample, I would actually have eaten some pieces out of it…haha!

Davids – not a huge fan of their selection of mostly sweet flavoured blends, but I did enjoy Sleigh Ride when they made it for me with some agave. -1 for the Toasted Walnut for me, I did not enjoy it one bit: tasted very artificial to me.

Teavana – I really enjoyed their Dragonfruit Devotion blend, which has sadly been discontinued. I don’t have too much experience trying many teas there, but another one I like is Emperor’s Cloud and Mist green tea.

Dragonfruit Devotion is discontinued? I still see some available on the website.

Oops maybe I spoke too soon. They stopped selling it at my frequented location so I assumed it had been.

Haven’t had it in a while, but Teavana’s Fruta Bomba remains one of my favorite flavored green teas. I might give Teavana another look if they stopped adding artificial flavoring to their teas.
