I think the new people will be in good hands here.

I just wanted to give you a (virtual) pat on the back for doing this. It’s awesome! I wish something like this had been around when I was starting out. =)

I’m not sure if I can do it next year, but with the funds this year I can. I’ll try my best to continue. Maybe I’ll do oolong variations next year?

Dont trust him, he acts nice but its all part of his master plan

I wish I knew you when I started trying things. I’ve had some hits, but just as many misses. You’re doing a really nice thing for people who are earnestly trying to sample something new and daunting like pu’erh can seem to the uninitiated. Thanks.

I started with pu’erh about half a year ago :P
People have just put their trust in me and it has paid off because I am committed to improving the tea community as much as I can. I’m not expert, but I am confident in my ability to provide all kinds of samples to help people identify their type of sheng/shou.

already into puerh.. but this is a good idea

Someone needs to this for stocks. I’ve been looking at them and read about people dealing them. Someone should give 1000 shares for free for your first investment :p

I just joined Steepster earlier this month even though I’d been lurking for a few years. A few weeks ago, to be “neighborly” and to support a community member, I bought a few teas from Liquid Proust’s Etsy store. No, this is not me shilling on his behalf. I don’t “know” LP other than to have exchanged a few PMs about the Dark Matter group buy and he does not “know” me in any other respect but what I just stated.

With the hope that I am not causing offense to anyone, I admit that I always stayed away from flavored teas. I’ve had enough dreadful ones in the past to give them all a very wide berth. LP’s teas have gotten good reviews and I am a believer in going back to revisit things I previously disliked (brussels sprouts, salmon, rye whiskey). What amazed me was the passion, thought, work and care that LP put into blending and flavoring his teas. I read his Wordpress blog and watched the short video he made about cutting up a jackfruit in order to dehydrate it for use in one of the blends. This is not a guy who throws some subpar tea in a big container with synthetic flavoring, a few colored petals and sparkles and calls it a day. There is a tremendous amount of time, energy and thought that goes into what he makes and sells.

My point?

My point is that I am slap happy gleeful to have found this tea community where people are so genuinely enthused with their passion, kind to newcomers and willing to reach out unselfishly and share with virtual strangers. Real day to day life is not always as kind or caring.

Thank you, Liquid Proust!

1. Don’t link Rasseru’s words to my company. I am not going to be selling straight pu’erh.
2. I generally don’t know 95% of the people on here, but we engage in online conversation weekly.
3. I appreciate that you went through my Word Blog :)
4. For anyone who thinks I make money or am affiliated with any vendor (pu’erh related), that is 100% incorrect. This is part of my passion.
5. I am just writing this because there is always the gray area when owning a tea blending company and then also being an active member in the community.
7. I skipped 6 because that is fun.
8. Thank you :)

1. Dont link my words to anything, I am joking 90% of the time, apart from when I say I love the two LPT blends I have tried, especially peachy elixir which is really really good. And its not just because LP is a fellow steepsterite, it just is very very tasty

I am on the same boat as you in regards to flavored tea. However, I really enjoyed his French Toast flavored tea. Really a pleasant surprise.

I drink 20 unflavored to every 1 flavored, thus I am the same way as well. I’m working really hard to keep only 1 out of every 5 to 10 teas being blended/flavored with an oil base; it’s hard though. Anyways, thanks!

Awesome idea and very generous! I just started into my abundance of samples LP sent me as part of his anniversary sale. Looking forward to trying them all :)

Glad you said ‘abundance’, makes me happy to hear positive remarks!
