Tea Tray

There are a variety of good options for inexpensive tea trays. Both Puerhshop and Mandala Tea sell reasonably priced ones if you are looking for a US retailer. EBay is a good source and where I got my tea trays. I got one from Streetshop88, one from Berylleb King Tea, and one from Shanghai Story. Shanghai Story probably has the best selection.

ebay or aliexpress would be the cheapest, assuming bamboo. You can get a small one for like $14. Bigger ones (around 35cm) for $30 to $40. Boxed ones run cheaper, but you might be able to get a pull out tray in that price range. My most recent tea tray was from Dragon Tea House on aliexpress (also on ebay or their own shop).

Probably want to figure out how big you need. I cut a piece of paper the size of tea trays I was looking at and placed me teaware on it to see if that worked for me.

Big tip is I like the ones with a flat surface. I had one with round dowels slats and it pissed me off to no end as narrow cups and gaiwans would fall over.

In the meantime, while you’re waiting for your tea tray, laying down a good, absorbent towel and using a bowl for waste water can make your tea ceremony passable. :)
