straight up.

With a little sugar if it’s iced. Sometimes milk/ sugar in masala chais.

Straight.

The only exception being when I make my own chai on the stovetop, in which I think it’s criminal not to add sweetener and some kind of creamy liquid, be it coconut milk, almond or dairy milk.

Depends on the tea and the mood I’m in.
Cheap American supermarket black teas: Sweetened with Splenda
Twinings English Breakfast: Sometimes sweetened, and sometimes not
PG Tips: Usually sweetened
Green, Oolong: Straight
American-style “Sun” tea: Straight

I drink probably 90% of my tea straight with no additives. However I LOVE English Breakfast Tea and certain other black teas with milk! And from time to time, I will make myself a homemade sweetened Chai or matcha latte.

I drink most high quality teas straight. I do put milk and/or sweetener in tea-based drinks like matcha lattes, bubble tea, chai, and simmered tea like moroccan mint tea and kahva.

Every time I see this topic, I want to say “orally”.

I think I’m hilarious. :)

LOL!

The only thing even slightly wrong about this response is how it makes me consider the alternatives haha!

Lol…I wish I could say I’m a good girl and not use sugar…and alot of it…but I’m not. But I generally don’t use milk or creamer unless it is with traditional chai or hot chocolate.

Haha…there’s no shame in sugar :)

You might want to try looking into Xylitol or Erythitol. They taste exactly like sugar (other than a very slight cooling sensation), but they’re good for your teeth. Even if you just mixed it with sugar, it would cut down on your intake.

Are those sugar alcohols? Some sugar alcohols can have an unpleasant effect on the gastrointestinal system. Also my gastroenterologist wants me to use real sugar. Won’t even let me use Stevia.

They are sugar alcohols, so if you have too much at once, especially if you don’t use them regularly, they can make you gassy.

Sadly, I can’t use those…I would be in the bathroom for a long while afterwards. :(
