I am missing shipping information for a few of the Paypal transaction and Steepster name to link it all up. If you could just PM that if you forgot on your payment it’ll help so much as I have a file created for the shipping prepared.
i’ve forgotten if I forgot so I’ll do it anyway
Just put all the numbers together at work to see how it went.
Over $60 on the budget which will come from the $75 I dedicated to put towards this.
The sad part about that is not having funds to add the DanCong to this sampler. If anyone would like some just let me know because I already comitted to purchasing some, but I can’t afford to go over $100 on this.
Anyways, update: Everything is happening ahead of schedule and there is only a few people I am waiting to make sure are 100% I’m via payment.
Super excited :)
P.S. these bags are easy to weight at 13g for the more ball shaped oolongs which has made this go smoother in regards to packaging
How much more do you need? If a number of us chip in, we could probably cover it.
That wouldn’t be fair. Here is what happened:
World Tea Podcast put together that special buy, I didn’t mean to buy them out either, which took up the $72 for the DanCong. I’m still buying the DanCong and would love to gift it, but I have other stuff being dedicated to this already.
Let’s see what happens when I begin packing it up, maybe a mood will overcome me where I say "what’s $3 a person for the holidays? "
Carefully packaged all of the 1986 Lishan tonight and I just have to let you all know that I experienced a moment of sadness when I went to TU and found out that I contributed to the ‘out of stock’
I’m not tasting anything until everything is shipped out, but the aroma from the dry leaf was so enticing that I went online to purchase more because I can just tell by the look and smell that this is one fabulous tea… to find that ‘out of stock’ was a bit painful; though I am glad that we will all get to try it.

Last stuff arrived… just kidding
Even though all the money has been spent, I had a discussion with myself that ended in the realization that come 5 years from now going $45 over budget on this aged oolong sampler won’t be something I regret (plus ‘it’ was on sale). So what does that mean?

They are located in the US so that won’t take much time to get here.
With that being said, I’ll be packing one hour a night until it is all finished… not sure if that means 4, 5, or 8 days; I’ll just let it be a surprise.
Taking 4 hours to finish everything up tomorrow; including shipping.
Awaiting one payment and a few addresses.
When I ship these off I will not be sending out usps tracking though I will have it; just takes too long to find each person and send it.
$800+
10+ hours
20 people
I’m looking forward to the reviews, pictures, and finally sitting back and realizing what I put together. One mess up causes 20 minutes of work. I accidentally mixed up someone’s 2003 Green Heart and had to look through 18 sacks with 10+ teas… this has been a learning experience for sure which prepares me for whatever crazy thing I do next (sheng sampler :p)
Huge thanks to everyone as I wasn’t going to drop $100 to try all these. Your $30 has gone far with 19 others, oh and the gifts; you’re all in for a treat.
Awesome, thank you so much for putting this together!
Sounds absolutely amazing :D Getting even more excited now!
Awesome, awesome, awesome! So regarding the cost, how much did you go over budget? I was thinking some of us could send you a few more bucks to help.
It’s not a big deal. It only went over $48 which is not a big deal. Small transactions are not worth it, I’d rather say happy holidays and read everyone’s tasting notes.
Messages have been sent to those that I am missing shipping information for. The initial post also says who has theirs already keyed in for shipping.
I’m SO excited!! Anyone want to try tasting some on the same day or in a particular order? I’d love to compare notes.
We could taste them in the order they are listed in the initial post. What sort of schedule would work? We could do one a day for the folks who are impatient, or space them out a little.
I like that idea! Maybe we can make a hashtag to all follow on ig and Twitter along with this thread
Yeah I’ll drink in order with you lot ☺
I’ll be happy to drink and review in order, but one a day may not be feasible for me. Perhaps 2 or 3 a week? That will give people like me time to keep up.
I agree that several a week is more practical. I often don’t have time for more than one gongfu session a day and want to drink more than these teas. I think everyone should simply go at his or her own pace.
That works for me. For those who are interested maybe we could go in order shooting for 3 a week? That will give us a 4 weeks which sounds pretty reasonable.
IG hashtag would be great too, t-ching, if you have a suggestion for one.
To be honest I thought every day would be excessive. 3 a week works well for me. If someone wants 1 or 2 per week they can skip teas and still be in sync for some of the teas.
I’ll join in :)
I would suggest that we also do the gift that cost $110 together. I cant say what it is yet, but it’s a good ten plus years older than me! (it’s the gift from two people)
Do you want to pick a specific day to do that one, LP?
Can we start tasting ‘together’ on Monday? Do you think everyone will have it then?
well I might be a bit late as I’m UK but can catch up
I’m also in the UK, so will face some delay… But, I’m deffo happy to drink them in the same order as you lot! :D
Oh, darn. Whenever you lot get them then. I will work on my self-control :)
If you shipped today by first class I would expect it will arrive on Wed or Thurs. Thanks. I’m looking forward to this.
You and everyone else should let me know of domestic packages don’t arrive by or on Saturday
You’ll see yours on Wednesday I’m guessing
