Looking to Obtain Some Golden Yin Zhen

https://www.twgtea.com/product/details?code=TCTWG9068

Anyone got 2.5g to share with me?

Anyways, if you didn’t realize it this is not a serious thing but if you own this tea (which I’d be curious as to why you spent so much) I would’t be opposed to receiving 2.5g, I am curious as to why 24ct gold would ever find itself in an actual product.

Please help my curious brain!

Pffft, I will just stick with my fuzzy Yunnan golden needles, probably taste better!

Though given the option I would totally try it. Same with the Matcha that has gold in it, and good ol’ Goldschläger, golden consumables are just so decadent.

Does the gold actually infuse with the water like the ground tencha?

never tried it, want to though! Pictures for ogling http://www.hibiki-an.com/contents.php/cnID/31

It’s a gimmick. They’ve been doing it with vodka for years.

Definitely a bit gimmicky. Hibiki-An sells packs of gold with matcha and gyokuro for a lot less:

Sounds silly, gimicky, and rather expensive, but I’ve been enjoying myself saying ‘Jin Yin Zhen’ repeatedly now, which has a funny sound to it.

…I am very easily amused.. ;P

You can buy sheets of gold leaf at an art supply and make your own.

Is it 24ct gold???

If so, get ready for some stupid creations :p
Aka: Gold Pu

Is it actually safe to ingest gold anyway?

Well I have 24K sheets. Got mine in a box of art supplies from a flea market. Gold is safe to injest and is still used as a medical treatment for certain types of arthritis. By that I mean standard medical treatment, not merely naturopathy.

Eating gold is good for arthritis you say? Pardon me, I need to gold-plate my meds now ;)

I recently read an article where it showed that there was a lot of gold and other metals and such in well..poo..and there was a program in the work to extract them from said waste, so yeah, safe to ingest. Not sure how much we actually absorb though, and I know that you gotta make sure you get the really thin fluffy sheets (which are a massive pain to work with, ugh) because the thicker stuff can be rough on the throat.

At least I think it was the gold at the bottom of the Goldschläger that made my throat feel like it had been torn up and not just the over abundance of cinnamon schnapps
