Best Way to Clean Steepers?
I got one of David’s gravity steepers (this one to be exact: https://www.davidstea.com/us_en/18oz-steeper-1 ) about 6 months ago, and while I have always tried to keep it clean, the tea definitely leaves its mark, particularly on the mesh filter, which is becoming clogged. I’ve rinsed and scrubbed and soaked it, and even tried vinegar & baking soda, but the mesh is so fine that nothing is really helping.
Have other people run into this problem? Is there a cleaning solution?
I have a gravity steeper care thing here – http://oolongowl.com/gravity-tea-steeper-love-and-care/
But for hard core cleaning, Mandala Tea Soak. http://oolongowl.com/smart-soak-tea-stain-dissolver-mandala-tea-oolong-owl-review/
Mandala Smart Soak works on just about every type of teaware. At least anything glass or plastic. Not sure if it’s recommended for rubber parts or not.
Thank you both, that’s extremely helpful! And this Mandala Soak sounds amazing, I will definitely order some of that :)
