Oak aged tea, DIY style
So, I got a bottle made of oak specifically for aging/adding flavor for wine for my birthday (it’s the one in this article: http://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/wooden-bottle-oak-bottle-makes-cheap-wine-taste-good)
Of course, my mind turns instantly to tea. Could it be possible to put dry leaf in this bottle to age for a few weeks/months? And if so, what kind of tea should I try?
Any suggestions are welcome!
Puerh of course, maybe a loose shou that’s cheap enough to experiment with, keep a little extra too so you can taste them side by side in a year or 2 and see if it made a difference.
Shou would be a great idea! What do y’all think about a wild arbor black?
