Mom drinks oolongs a lot and loves a good Dragonwell. Steeps in a Pyrex measuring cup that she uses to heat water in the microwave and then strains into her cup. She has fancier stuff but that’s what she uses most of the time. :)
I agree with you, oolong tea is also on the list of my favoriate teas.
Best wish to your mom :)
We will choose the winner later. Wish you a good day.
My mother is very simple and stubborn when it comes to tea. She will only drink her tea right before bed because the caffeine calms her and makes her sleepy. She drinks out of a small mug and with one black tea bag. She drinks it straight and uses the tea bag for quite some time. She will sit and sip at this brew for a few minutes and then head off to bed.

My mom doesn’t drink tea. She dislikes it. So I adopted my friends mom. She drinks Twinings normally, but I bring different teas over. We visited a recently opened tea shop nearby, and I bought her a rose mint black tea from there for Easter. I always bring my adagio signature blends over for her to sample and left half of my Lupicia samples with her to try. She’s kind of my surrogate tea mom. If I got anybody tea for Mother’s Day, it would be her.
Oh, I forgot. We bought her kettle the same day. It was like I was watching my child take her first steps, which is probably weird to say about my friend’s mom, but she’s adorable when she’s excited. I need to bottle that enthusiasm and infect my mom with it.
That’s fantastic. I should start adopting extra mums. One for tea, one for books, one for knitting.
Sounds like a plan. You should report to me on your success within the week.
:) Interesting!
Best wish to your moms!

My mum drinks Good Earth brand Sweet & Spicy caffeine free. She heats her water up in a mug in the microwave and leaves the tea bag in the cup as she drinks it. She buys it at Costco in bulk, storing it up like the zombie apocalypse is knocking at her door. Maybe that is where I get my tea hoarding tendencies from.
What is sweet and spicy tea?
Thank you very much much for sharing and your support. We will choose the winner later. Wish you a good day.
It is cinnamon herbal tea of some sort.
My mother likes the tea that her son makes for her :)
(She actually likes teas that I don’t ,flavors like cherry or coffee, so I purchase them and then lie about buying it for myself so she doesn’t feel like I’m spending money on her. I might be in a moral dilemma about lying to my mother to please her…)

My mom likes to make sun tea from Twinings or Lipton tea bags. She always has some sitting on the counter in a huge jar.
Sun tea? It is strange to me :) I like the name.
Maybe I should try some later.
Best wish to your mom!
I don’t ever recall my mother drinking any tea other than from Lipton “Flo-thru™” teabags. Hot or iced, its always Lipton.
Perhaps I will take the extraordinary step of introducing her to the wonders of loose tea, but a creature of habit is hard to change. :)
Yes, i agree with you.
Persuading the aged to try a thing is not easy.
If I were you, i will buy her some green teas. Green tea always taste fresh!
Best wish to your mom!
My mom still likes teabag teas, he likes hers either black or with a small amount of sugar
How are you Senchamatcha.Your name implies too much.
Black tea is good for the elder people, your mom has a good habit i think.
Best wish to your mom!
Thanks again for your support.
Earl Grey or English Breakfast, in a 1 qt pyrex. She keeps it simple.
Alas, my mother died many years ago. She and her Russian immigrant father taught me to drink black tea as a little girl: with fresh lemon and sugar! That’s still my preferred way of drinking many black teas.
