Am I the only one who drinks Pu'er as a breakfast tea?
I recently received my order of a mini-Tuocha sampler pack of ripe Pu’er from Mandala teas. It was my first order from them and Garrett was great (including an extra sample of Noble Mark to enlarge my sampling further).
I’m pretty new to Pu’er, but I’ve found that it really seems to work for me in the morning with breakfast (instead of coffee). The thick, rich flavour has the boldness that I used to get from coffee. I don’t really drink it any other time, however. I don’t find it delicate enough in the afternoon.
Do others also drink Pu’er as their breakfast tea?
Drink it any time is my motto! I had a sheng from the night before last Saturday morning.
Drink it morning, afternoon, evening….time of day doesn’t matter to me. I prefer it to coffee, since I don’t get the bitterness that I do from coffee. :)
I think puerh is great in the morning but I like loose puerh rather than cakes in the morning. No time usually to break a cake in the morning.
I thought most people drank puer during morning, as I thought the caffeine wouldn’t be desirable later in the day/night. Am I missing something?
I can’t drink puerh in the a.m., I need a beverage with milk in it so I can handle taking my pills.
It’s an absolute must in the mornings for me!
Well…maybe not just the mornings.
