Time for Oolong Owl’s Matcha Comparison 2, Round 1. The $9.50 and under per ounce matchas!
And here is my part three! http://ramblingbutterflythoughts.blogspot.com/2015/07/ceremonial-grade-matcha-showdown-part_13.html
Okay, here’s round one. Sorry I’m just getting this out there, but I had to make em wait for it…
BOOM! http://lionadrift.blogspot.com/

Oh, and for the curious, my blog is not a tea blog, but a hodgepodge blog involving metaphysics, philosphy, personal experiences, and sometimes tea. RLT peeps didn’t mind this because they liked my first matcha review so much and wanted me to be in on this round. I shared the first one here on Steepster and on my Facebook tea community group that I run, but since my tea page apparently isn’t searchable through google they wanted it on a blog this time. So yeah, that’ll explain the type of other articles you’ll see if you go poking around my blog.
My second post is here if anyone is interested! Round 2 results are up!

And finally, here is the last round of testing in this matcha test from Red Leaf Tea. This one includes the highest priced samples. There were some really good ones in this batch! (some not so good ones too!)

Thank you both! I think the best thing about a blind test is that it helps with the honesty. Since I didn’t know what matcha was from what company I didn’t feel bad for being honest. Of course, I’d love if I could say great things about them all, but some were just not that great, and I think that the other reviews from others who did the test will probably show similar results.
While the hope was to show that my products were superior to my competition, it was clear that not all my matcha teas were as good as I was hoping for. This knowledge, while painful, was very important to me as a seller. You can not get better if you think there is nothing to improve. Knowing what products are lacking in quality, it’s much easier now to make the necessary adjustments.
My Round 2 is up!

Dem Pecks.
So, on a whim I took the Koicha Suitable Matcha from the Matcha Showdown and had a mini showdown http://ramblingbutterflythoughts.blogspot.com/2015/08/matcha-showdown-part-4-matcha-monday.html
This was not sponsored by RLT, so it does not follow the rating formula…but it you want to know what they are like, I subjected myself to them, for science!
