I’ve contacted Christina and the box will be moving on next week as early as I can get it. I’ll be putting it together this week-end and taking any requests for tea from my cupboard.
Will also be posting what I took out and put in.
I’ve been pretty busy lately and this week-end is crazy but I’ve been taking out samples to try for later. Somehow even though I’ve removed more samples than I’ve put in; the box is even more crammed. That may have to do with each sample only being 1 tsp and each of my packages are 2 teaspoons or more.
I had that problem too! :) I wanted to add sooo much more! If i’m around for the next round, I think I would do a couple of things differently…like adding more :)
Well, I know we like to keep the weight down so it’s reasonable for shipping. There’s probably some old teas that could probably come out. I think it would be a good idea to vote on what’s left at the end of the round to see what to continue for the next box.
I think part of the problem was that being the newbie to the box, I didn’t have the advantage of having the notebooks to see what had gone around a couple of times. The other part of my problem was personal, and there were some tea’s (including the David’s) that I didn’t have time to get to.
I wanted to add larger samples of what I included, but I felt a little restricted by trying to keep the shipping cost down. If i’m in the next round, I think I would approach this differently, and include larger samples.

Seems like I took out way more than I put in but most of the ones I took out were just one teaspoon and most of what I added was two or more tsps. Anyway it was still hard to get the box closed! It’s such a big box it’s hard to zoom through it fast. What I do to speed things up is take out anything that sparks my interest right away and put them in a bin from the Dollar Store. This time I didn’t have enough time to sample so I took out samples to try later. I have plenty of samples to go through!
My hubby called me at work to let me know the box came today! I can’t wait to open it tonight.
Would others here be okay with me transferring the contents to a bigger box so we have a bit more room to play with?

Ubacat – That’s exactly what I did. I dumped it all out on the table. Everything I’m not interested in I put back in the box and everything I want to try went into a basket. Working my way through the basket. It’s a little overwhelming if you don’t ort it down to a reasonable amount. :)
The box has more straight teas in it this time around. I feel there are more green teas than darker ones. I’m way more of a dark kind of girl so I’m going to try/remove most of the dark that’s here. Will replace it with blacks, and Jillian would like pu’erh – which I can do. How adventurous are you guys? Would you prefer known, easily accessible, teas? Yunnan Sourcing, Mandala, etc.? Or would you prefer ones that are not as well know, things I picked up in Vancouver, Aliexpress, etc.?

There are definitely lots of teas there. Funny you thought there were a bit more straight greens instead of the dark ones. I felt there were more straight dark instead of green! I may have been guilty of adding a few greens since I have a vast amount of sheng, light oolongs, & greens in my collection.
Lol I think maybe it depends on what you like how you see it. :)
I think it’s good that you added the light teas……I dont have any to add. I just felt I was talking all the darks, need to replace some or there won’t be much in the box. Its nice if there is a balance so that what ever someone prefers they have ome to try. I’m finding this round really interesting. :)
I’m still working my way through the teas that I pulled out of the box to try, but I need to start deciding what to put in the box. If anyone wants anything spcific out of my cupboard, if anyone is interested in a style (like Jillian asking for puerh), please let me know and I’ll do my best to include it.
Is Jillian the only one wanting puerh, or are there other puerh drinkers in the group? I just dont wasnt to put a bunch in if no one else likes it.
