We Did It!
Yay!
We reached the goal this morning!
I want to start off by thanking everyone who contributed to the campaign thus far – we truly appreciate your support. Amethyst and I are so grateful to the tea community for supporting our dream and helping to make it a reality for us.
You guys are awesome!
We still have 23 days left in this campaign and hopefully in this time we can work toward some stretch goals. The smaller goal meant that we needed to scale back our budget and also what equipment and inventory we were planning to get – so more money will mean that we can invest in more equipment to streamline our operation and get more inventory so that we don’t need to restock as often (and hopefully get more bulk discounts!)
So please check out our campaign – I’ve posted the first two of our stretch goals … we’ll be rewarding those who have pledged even more with these goals!

Please check out my stretch goals – The first stretch goal will help get us a filler which is a piece of equipment that we took off our budget when we lowered the goal for the relaunch, but it’s still a piece of equipment that will really help us streamline production.
The second stretch goal will help us get to work on getting a new website design!
We still have 22 days to go and I KNOW that with your help we can do this!
Congratulations!! That’s awesome. :) But wow, did you get a $1000 pledge or something? Last I checked it was at $4000!
Congratulations! I’m so amazingly late to this party that I just donated, but I am super happy for you.
Congrats! I’m so excited you guys made it! I wanted to contribute but couldn’t justify it with the USD/CDN exchange rate + shipping. But I’m excited to see what you guys do with 52Tea as I plan to be a customer once it’s more affordable for me!
I do totally understand. The shipping is a killer. It eats at me how much shipping costs for something as small as 1/2 an ounce tea plus packaging to Canada. It’s crazy. I would love to say “free shipping” but let’s face it, if I did that, I wouldn’t be in business very long, you know? So it’s very frustrating for me too!
we understand! I’m in a similar boat as Cavo – here’s hoping the exchange rate gets better!
Yes, right now the exchange rate is far more damaging to Canadian shopping than shipping is. Everything costs 25-30% more and that is definitely not happening for me. I think you’ve got a big enough American customer base to be okay though! :)
Yeah, we totally understand! I wasn’t saying it to hint that you should do anything about it etc. :P I realize that you’d go bankrupt if you dropped your shipping rates to accommodate international customers. Here’s hoping that things turn around for a dollar once you’re up and going strong.
Congratulations! Same boat as the other Canadians. Hopefully our dollar gets stronger so I can place an order. :)
Congrats!
