Hiya Dear Tea Ave….just saw you are not shipping to France yet ? I am so sad as I loved so much the Oolong Rose especially. Congrats on the lovely website and very good Oolongs and best wishes for the launch :)
I’m so excited! The pre-launch sampler set was amazing. I was wondering what the capacity of the tea cup in the aroma set? I was going to measure it myself but couldn’t find my measuring cup and figured other’s might want to know too.
I’d love it if you added a sharing pitcher to your teaware too! I want my set to match.
I’m plotting my first order now.
I really like your website design and photos. Very nice! I wonder what is the difference between the Jasmine oolong and the Cape Jasmine Oolong?
Just wanted to add here that since Tea Ave can’t post on this thread, I wanted everyone to know they were very helpful through the messaging to help me get an order together. I was also very impressed everything worked well in the checkout. Sometimes there’s always bugs with a new website and cart checkout.
I also had a good experience. I ordered yesterday and they already shipped it! So fast! The only thing that was confusing for me was where to input the coupon code when paying with PayPal, so I went back and started checking out without PayPal, input the code, and went back to PayPal and it was incorporated! :)
I will answer here just in case anyone else is curious (since they probably already answered) Jasmine is just jasmine, Cape Jasmine is actually a species of Gardenia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gardenia_jasminoides :)
Yes, they did reply to me right away in the messaging but I didn’t think to post the answer for anyone else. Here’s what they said:
They are two different types of flowers.Cape Jasmine is known for its subtle fragrance and very mellow and smooth. Whereas Jasmine is a popular flower around the world and are sweet-scented and often strong-smelling (in the best of ways, we say). For those who enjoy Jasmine, but sometimes find it too strong, then Cape Jasmine is an ideal choice.
I didn’t find the Jasmine Oolong overpowering at all. It was excellent so I went with that in my order. I’ll get to try Cape Jasmine in a sample hopefully. Thanks Amanda for posting that.
Awesome! Looking forward to placing an order in the near future. As a bit of an off topic musing, I really love the classic mugs color-wise and in terms of design, but I kind of wish the Tea Ave logo wasn’t smack dab on the front of the cup. It’s a bit obtrusive. Personal opinion, of course, and I might be in the minority, but it’s turning out to be a deciding factor in terms of my purchase.
