What are people's opinions on Yorkshire tea?
If any one would like to share their opinions on Yorkshire tea I would be very grateful!
How does Yorkshire tea compare to other brands?
Do you buy Yorkshire Tea, if so and if not, why?
What do you think about waiting 5 minutes for your tea to brew?
I assume you mean Yorkshire Gold from Taylors? My opinion is that it is fine for tea-tea. Nothing special and nothing stands out about it to me but it’s drinkable. I think at 5 minutes steeping it would be so strong and bitter that I’d only be able to drink it with a lot of cream and sugar and maybe not even then. :) You might do a search for Yorkshire and see what other reviews have said.
I usually drink loose leaf, but if I want a regular cup of bagged black tea with sugar and milk, my go-to brand is Rington’s. Yorkshire is my second favourite, but then, I live in Yorkshire, I’m probably biased. (:
I used to get Ringtons when they delivered to my mum, that was some great tea! Had the Ringtons Connoisseur Tea Bags.
On those rare occasions I feel like a bag of black tea I have Twinings Everyday. Never been a fan of Yorkshire tea in particular though if it’s the only option when out I will have it. Or say I had to pick from PG Tips, Yorkshire Tea or similar it would probably be Yorkshire. Yorkshire Tea in particular is strong and tastes ctc which has it’s charms. I just think that Twinings everyday has a cleaner taste.
Also 5 minutes for a tea is as standard in this house. A fan of a strong builders tea.
I’m not sure what this tea is. I vacationed with a 100% Yorkshire lady at her house in Milton Keynes and she made mug tea half full of water, two dunks of a Tetley and a fill to the top with whole milk.

It’s Taylors of Harrogate – Yorkshire Tea. A popular teabag staple in the UK.
