Oh where oh where can all the floral teas be?

Forgive me, it’s been ages since I’ve graced steepster with my verbose presence!

But seriously, both makers of rose violet calendula oolong no longer make it or are out of business, and all I seem to find is soleflor teas (so just jasmine, just rose, just violet, etc.), when all I want, all my heart dreams of is just a bouquet of flowers in my mouth. Can that be found anywhere? can anyone help? I’ve been away from the tea scene for a while now, so am just hoping that something else has since cropped up and is all the floral rage.

hahaha…so mental image of you jamming flowers in to your mouth java style :)

I think a couple teas from missB are more floral so i’ll make sure you get some of those!

Enjoyingtea sells a variety of flowers and such if you like. There’s a variety of places to find rose, jasmine, etc. teas. Good luck in your search.

Unfortunately floral teas seem to be somewhat unpopular right now, so they’re harder to find. I’ve never had rose violet calendula oolong, but it sounds delightful.

Yeah, I agree. They never sold for us so we didn’t really make them. The one exception was our Champagne & Rose Cream which did ok but not as well as I expected.

Simpson & Vail has quite a few. I’m not sure how their international shipping is, though.

Maybe this is visual, but I can’t figure out what their lilac bouquet tea is. Is it a green?

Looks like a black tea. Weird that they don’t list ingredients!

Oops, sorry, didn’t see this. I think it’s a black tea but I’m not positive.

Verdant has an excellent white jasmine. The first thing I thought when I first tried it was that it was like drinking a full of flowers.

My favorite floral tea is actually an herbal blend of rooibos, berries, rose, and lavender. Tay Tea makes an excellent one called A Day in Provence, which I discovered through Amoda (http://amodatea.com/products/day-in-provence) and is also available on the company’s website (http://www.taytea.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=16#.VM7cTJ14p7t). DavidsTea makes a good version too (http://www.davidstea.com/rooibos-de-provence-en?&TF=&DEID=), though I prefer the Tay.

Nature’s Tea Leaf makes a Nature’s Bloom Pu’er with jasmine, lavender, and rosehip. I wasn’t a huge fan but that’s mostly because I am not especially fond of pu. http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Bloom-Pu-erh-Tea-2oz/dp/B008LBD8QS/

In Europe, Lipton apparently has a rose-violet white tea. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lipton-Pyramid-Exclusive-Collection-IMPORTED/dp/B007DJEWQY

And Simpson and Vail has a rose-violet black tea. http://www.svtea.com/Violet-Rose-Black-Tea/productinfo/T0648/

That sounds incredible. Can you tell me if the lilac one is also black? it doesn’t say, but perhaps there’s a picture?

I can’t actually tell. The leaves do look dark… Maybe an oolong? I checked the flavoured black page and it wasn’t there. So weird it doesn’t say.

A good Bao Zhong oolong can be a wonderfully flowery tea. Like drinking a cup full of lilac and lily flowers.

My favorite rose-based tea would be Numi’s white rose: http://www.amazon.com/Numi-Organic-White-Rose-16-Count/dp/B003ULL8NY

Oooh, what’s your favourite bao zhong that tastes like this

I just finished my stash of Rishi Bao Zhong and really enjoyed it. A very sweet tasting tea: http://www.rishi-tea.com/product/bao-zhong-oolong-tea/oolong-tea

There is also the Four Seasons Spring Oolong from Rishi (http://www.rishi-tea.com/product/jade-oolong-oolong-tea/oolong-tea). It’s similar to the bao zhong…lightly oxidized and floral. But bao zahong is by far the most flower-packed oolong I’ve ever had.

Ah guys, thank you so so much. Sil, you are lovely for thinking of me when you try the florals missb sent you.
I’m definitely going to check the rose violet black-shipping be damned! (maybe…I say that now…haha).

Those of you who say a lot of oolongs taste very floral/lilac on their own, can you recommend your favourites in that category?

This is the last one I tried that was very floral/lilac-y:
