NANNUOSHAN: New travel blog from Jingdezhen, the Porcellain Capital.

Read about hidden art workshops and outstanding porcellain shops. Few days in the Porcellain Capital in search for handmade, design teaware. http://www.nannuoshan.org/blogs/blog/18679411-jingdezhen-the-porcelain-capital
The second part of the blog will be posted over the weekend.

Wow! Porcelain traffic light posts and light posts! Beautiful!
Those ceramic pitchers looks really nice. Is the tea brewed in them like a gaiwan or just poured into them afterwards? Looking forward to seeing what other tea ware was purchased.

Dear Ubacat, I reply to you as I’m the one who bought the pitchers ;-) The tea is brewed in a teapot or gaiwan and then poured into the pitchers through a filter. Then is really easy to serve the tea in the tiny chinese-style cups! I ordered the same model also in black and white!
I’ve seen so many shops, mostly runned by young designer or creative workshops, which are the ones that most inspire me! In the next post you’ll see my other purchase :-) I enjoyed a lot being a teaware talent scout in Jingdezhen!

Miscell, I am living vicariously through your blogs since I’ve always wanted to go to China. Loving every bit of them. Wish I could sit down with you, have a tea, and see all your photos.

I am really loving that pitcher and will probably buy some teaware from Nannuoshan but I’m waiting to see all you buy! :-)

Ahah, that would be a nice idea! I’ve just came back to Italy yesterday evening, still jetlagged but very happy about this incredible Journey! I recommend you to visit China sooner or later: such a deep culture. I especially loved the people, all very kind and helpful with me!

I’m glad you like the pitcher :-) Let me know what do you think about the other teaware. The post is almost completed, I just have to select the pictures as they are so many!

Another great update! I’d really love to order one of those pitchers alongside the two cups I’m buying, actually! Would that be possible? I’m currently planning to order on Monday :-)

Likely Michela took a couple of pitchers in her bag, so it is possibile to order one pitcher on Monday. As for the cups, we will ship them at the end of February.
The other pitchers were sent by China Post. Shipment from China takes a couple of months!

Ah, fantastic! Let me know once you’re sure/have a price and I should be happy to add it to my order. Shipping at the end of Feb is totally fine – the wait will just make me more excited hahaha

AllanK, no need to wait… our blog-followers can buy the teaware described in the blog entries before they are available for the public. Just send us a message and we will provide you additional information (e.g. price) and send you a link to proceed with the order:
http://www.nannuoshan.org/pages/contact

Handmade teaware is available in a limited amount of items and tea enthusiasts have a weakness for them.
We sold out very quickly all handmade cups purchased in 2014, for example:
http://www.nannuoshan.org/collections/cups/products/rooster-cup
http://www.nannuoshan.org/collections/cups/products/narrow-cone-cup

Offering the teaware in advance is a way to thank you for following our adventures.
Btw, free shipment worldwide for orders above 20 euro… because nannuoshan’s friends are treated in the same way, independently on their location!
