Bedside Tea! (or my nook has wheels)

So I have been quite jealous of my Teaplet Sarsonator for a while now. She made herself a beautiful bedside tea nook so she doesn’t even have to get up from bed to make tea. Being the self-indulgent little piggie that I am, I decided I NEEDED to copy her.

So here is what I came up with. I used a rolling cart from IKEA and put my tea tray in the top, tea and teaware in the next bin down and my small kettle and more tea in the bottom bin.

I bring a carafe of water to bed the night before and when I wake up I roll over and make tea and drink it in bed like the princess I wish I was.

Oh my goodness, yes, please. If I didn’t have to get out of my bed before 5 am, I would do this for sure. Alas, I do. Also the fire needs to be made or I’ll never leave my bed.

That cart is SO cute though. I would use a couple of those!! And the teaware is stunning. I wish Steepster were move convenient with pics…or that I was an instagram/tumblr user. I love seeing everyone’s tea setup!

Ditto on all of that!

Thanks!! Yes I have two of those IKEA carts. I am amazed at how much stuff they hold. And I’m discovering my laziness boundary keeps getting pushed farther these days :)

My hubby gets mad as I have a pile of things I have near me at most times as I use them regularly (book or two, crosswords, pencil, eraser, lip balm, sudoku, etc etc etc). I keep most of it in a side table but it spreads onto the coffee table…and the couch.

But you NEED all of that stuff!

I know that! and you know that! But he doesn’t appreciate it. I also have similar stashes downstairs. And anywhere else I tend to regularly be. I’m nuts!

edit: He leaves his controllers and computer bits all over too though. So bully to him. He just hates when I leave stuff ON the couch. Which is funny as he regularly leaves the remote on the back of the couch, where it falls and gets lost.

Welcome back MzPriss! You were missed!

Such rolling organization and appealing teaware!
+1 on the BonaVita!
IKEA should give you a commission on all future sales of their rolling carts. ;-)
Should we now call you the “Bedside Tea Princess”?

Well, this is just beyond awesome. Lovely everything! I now have a new tea goal.

Thanks! It’s a good goal. It took me a while to get around to it. Sasry has had hers for a while now and I kept saying I needed to. Finally did it this weekend and I’m so glad.

Love the idea of a tea nook. This is such an elegant way of presenting and storing your tea ware. Think I may be paying a visit to IKEA this weekend :-)

I love this turquoise one – it also comes in gray and the rolling bit is really handy. I just roll it into the kitchen and dump the water from the tray and the tea leaves and spiif it all up and roll it back to the bedroom.

And here I thought the little kettle I keep in my bedroom was clever! I’m going to have to steal this for myself :)
