The perfect berry tea I have tried was Fairmont’s Berry Berry tea, and I have purchased Teekanne’s berry herbal tea variety in the hopes of finding something similar to Fairmont’s but my choice was wrong. Even though the ingredients and the flavor description are very similar, all the Teekanne’s berry herbal tea varieties I have tried turned out to be way too sour. I do believe they’re healthy though. At least they don’t taste artificial and that’s good but really I always have a lot of tea bags left around in my cupboard because I can never finish them all. They do have many more attractive looking berry blends, but I’m afraid to experiment with my own money. I will try them if I get them for free from somewhere but I highly doubt I’d purchase any more with my own money again. Taste wise I’d give it 5 to 7 out of a hundred, but I’d give it 15 for the medicinal benefit – their berry herbal teas contain elderberry leaves and rose hips which are really good for cold.
Flavors: Sour
Preparation
I cannot recall how I received two bags of this tea but I imagine it was through one swap or another. This will be my last cup before retreating for the night to carry on reading Mad Mouse by Chris Grabenstein.
It smells sweet with strong licorice and cinnamon essences.
Flavour wise this is thickly licorice and it leaves that refreshing feeling in my mouth as I sip. The anise is also rather strong mixed with the cinnamon and in the after taste the Rooibos is noticeable. It’s an unusual blend and I don’t think I’m going to be able to finish this cup. My husband is also not a fan.
Preparation
Perfect choice for summer nights or after lunch. It’s very balanced, nothing stands out, but it makes you feel so comfortable ——helps cooling your mind and make a little contribution to digesting .I like herbal scents, and it tastes even more lovely when brewed with some freshly cut summer fruits XD
What kind of an Indian restaurant has only Lipton and German-brand Peppermint? So weird! They looked at me like I was crazy when I ordered hot tea.
As for the tea itself, it was pretty typical bagged peppermint. Not as great a fresh-picked mint, but I’ve had much staler, dull tasting mints.
