I get this about once a year, when they have it, at Starbucks. Some times it’s good, sometimes it’s not as good. This one is particularly hit or miss for me. This year it’s too bitter and strong. I suspect that’s a combination of too many tea bags for the water and too long of a steep. Oh well. After this one I’ll have something tastier!
Wow, they weren’t kidding about the orange, huh? Tastes like hot pulverized orange, with a little sweetness, a little tartness. Tried it with some sugar and now it’s too sweet for me. I think I liked it better without sugar for the tart/sweet combo. Overall, it’s alright, not a favorite. I will say this about Tazo, they have some of the most unusual flavors, and they make a good name for bagged tea.
Apparently I’m in an earl grey mood lately. I had a pot of decaf (without a brand name, otherwise I would have logged it!) at an Asian restaurant last night. I know… earl grey at an Asian restaurant? It was the only decaf they had.
So today I went to Starbucks because I needed a venti size drink but didn’t have a large mug in my office, and I was hoping for large quantities of green tea. Well, it’s exams, and the students (rightfully) have been buying up everything in our Starbucks, so they were out of it. I figured that of the in-stock options, this one would probably fair best, so here we go…
Now, off to 3 consecutive hours of presentations/meetings!
I honestly don’t know if I like this tea or not. I keep drinking it, however. I’m usually wary of cinnamon teas because they tend to coat the back of my throat with a sickly sweet taste. This one does that but I don’t find it so awful. The smell is incredible and it does leave me feeling particularly warm and cozy.
I was not particularly happy with this. It tasted kind-of… medicine-y.
